Greetings, all. I have checked numerous threads but I am still a bit confused. I have been happily running SH4 v1.5 with the TMO 2.5 MOD for many years.

Now I wish to add the RSRD MOD to my system, but I get very confused reading about the RSRD MOD as to which version of the MOD to install with my SH4 v1.5 and TMO 2.5.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you for your time.

Hi Danboo

A warm welcome back. :subsim:

You will find this TMO thread useful and you can post your questions to it.

Danbo, I'll try to answer your question here:

At a minimum, you'll want RSRD_TMO_V502 and RSRD_V5xx_Patch1

There are other mods like TMO_visuals_for_RSRD which reduces the AI Visual range (because some think the TMO AI visual range capability is excessive) and Zero bomb load fix for RSRD which changes the unrealistically high bomb load Zeros carry on "stock" RSRD. There is an AI radar reduction as well and I'm sure many more.

If you are a manual targeter, you need 1.5 Optical Targeting Correction 031312 for RSRDv502 (and probably the appropriate resolution patch-you'll have to read the readme.)

Improved Ship Physics 2.6_TMO_RSRD just came out (from TorpX - previous post) and is great. You'll want it as well!

OK, that's way more than you asked for but one last thing and you may know all about this. I really like RSRD but it can be frustrating because there is even less traffic than "stock" TMO. There is still plenty there, you just have to be smart about finding it. I look up history. Some think of it as cheating. I think of it as intel. Even when you know traffic is going to be at a certain general location at a certain time. It is still hard to find when using realistic sensors. I totally missed the Battle of Java Sea tonight!)

Let us know how it goes!
