Hsie and 4gb patch

Pardon my ignorance, but should I have the hsie and 4gb patch installed? I'm not sure exactly what they do and I don't see them in the download utilities section. I currently run sh3 with gwx installed.

nothing of the above is necessary to be installed.
At the thread of H.sie's hardcode fixes Hardcode fixes (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=174225) you can read what H.Sie's patch is going to change on your game so you can decide if you want it or no.
the 4gb patch is making use of more ram for the game (necessary if you have installed many mods): http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php

note: the H.sie's patch is containing the 4gb patch

The 4GB patch is only benificial for WinXP... AFAIK

You Need it ever when you use SH3 with any supermod except GWX Vanilla!

i have read (here and there) that it is for every windows.
i have read that the 4gb is ready for use for the x64 versions but,
the users of windows x32 need to make a few additional steps for the 4gb.
all are explained very well at lsh3 installation guide at section ''4GB-PATCH – Installation for all Windows-versions'' :

Respectfully no. :nope: That's wrong. And it will not become true when the false info is repeated again and again or here and there.

The 4GB-Patch is NOT for every windows, even though some guys(not you Makman!) do not want to learn why and obviously can not stop to spread rumors and false information. I tried to hammer those facts into brains of dozens already... with little success...

FACT however is: The 4GB CAN NOT work on a non-64bit system. It simply CAN NOT function.

Let me stress that the idea behind the 4GB-Patch is not from LSH, Stiebler, H.sie, or even me. ntcore wrote it initially and he explains it best. So teams or modders like LSH should really correct their documentation.

i had the sense that it was for all platforms but i was wrong (ntcore ,indead,says that the tool is for x64 platforms)
