Hello Ship Mates!

I recently purchased DW 1.04 via Steam. I made 3 copies with individual names (DW_1.04, DW_RA, and DW_AT) installing the Reinforce Alert mod and the Alpha Tau mod into their respective folders. Both mods appear to be functional and stable in Windows7.

I'm having trouble with installing additional (add-on) missions into DW.

I'll use Bill's "Gunboat Diplomacy 1.04" as a example.

The Zip file contains several .wav files and one ".mu" file.

After unzipping; where are these files supposed to be copied to in the DW file structure? I've read other posts where people were told to put them in the Scenario folder, though my Scenario folder only contains .MC, .MP, .RGN, .MS files and one .CAM file. I tried installing them as suggested and the mission does not show up when I run DW. What am I missing here?

Thanks in advance,

Chad

They should just all go in the Scenario folder. Are you installing to the right directory? I know there'd be a chance I'd install to the wrong directory with all those backups hanging around.

I found the problem.

The Steam version appears to have its own (proprietary?) .exe to launch DW ("Steamrun") and I was using the "dangerouswaters" .exe. When I use the Steam .exe the mods and missions are available in all of my installs.

Thanks for the response Schaz. I'm glad that I didn't inadvertently install them into my heavily modified Flight Simulator X directory! :03:

Yeah, that'll do it lol Glad you figured it out. Also, it's F P S chazly. You're not the only one to make that mistake, though, so I reckon it's my fault, then :haha:
