In the WOS mod is it normal?Was not possible to estimate range with this scope in real life?

Not part of WOS per se, as this was a corrected feature in the "SH5.exe patcher (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=181433)" from a while back when the sextant was added.

I assumed this was a historical fix.

Starting with v1.0.143.0 Added a new patch to the sh5.exe: Stadimeter can only be used at Attack scope or UZO (as Sextant)
