Just curious if people like to play with these turned on or off.
Do they make that much of a difference? Should players still learning/honing their skill stay away from them, leave these options to the more advanced submariners?
I personally have not tried playing with either option on.

Hi Nuke, I always play with the most realistics options ON, in this case, Currents and winds ON of course, the only not realistic I have is the tool tips option, nothing else.

Yeah, I play with these on. When in a sub, the current will definitely affect how fast you move. If you're going into a 1 or 2 knot current at only 3 knots, you will be basically going 1 knot. The current will also push your towed array depending on your orientation to the current. It's only a problem because it moves your blind spot and because every time the towed moves, it seems to produce wonky data for a little bit.

I play with full real, except the tool tips, (and sonar active intercept autocrew, as I have too much too do without staring that that boring screen myself all the time)
And a huge thanks FPSchazly, for your youtube tutorials.. that was what got me back in the game ..again, as I really never got into it when it were new. To damn bad tutorials on cd2, and I hate reading PDF's.. I want it on paper!
But now I need neither PDF or papers since messing around after your tutorial training (I don't do surface ships, (other then toss torpedoes and missiles at them).. yet, and I started as an OP when I first tried to learn it)
