Hi All,

What file do I look in to change the time it takes for a boat to submerge?

I'm trying my hand at modding. I've been working with Keltos01's great sub Surcouf. She's one of my favorite boats. So far, I've gotten her guns to take about 20 seconds to reload and reduced the amount ammo for the guns to be more realistic.

Surcouf, big girl that she was. Took more the two minutes to dive to 12m. I'd like to try and recreate that next. I've been searching around the file but can't seem to find where that is.

The easiest way to improve that is to install the mod Improved Ship Physics by TorpX.

It creates a much better movement involving diving, ascending, turning radius versus speed drop off.

\Data\Submarine\NSS_SubType\NSS_SubType.sim is the file (replace "SubType" with the actual sub type, NSS_Gato.sim, NSS_Sargo.sim, etc.)

Line 11, unit_Submarine, the numbers for Ballast flood speed affect how long it takes to dive. Need Silent 3ditor to edit the file.

I have the editor and thank you Sniper for pointing me in the right direction. Thank you also Merc.
