SH4 v1.4 to v1.5?

Just curious as to what exact files are changed or modified (other than the addition of the U-boat portion) that makes v1.4 into v1.5 when the UBM is added? I want to give modding a try by creating a small experimental mod to see if I can do it right. I want to make the mod in both 1.4 and 1.5, but don't know what it takes to make them different.

If you have both versions, I would take say, NSS_S-42.sim from each version and compare them. If they were the same a mod using them would be ok in both versions, if they are different, you might need to make separate versions.

For example, some German boat *.sim files in v1.5 have elements related to Hydrogen Peroxide propulsion. I assume there are other differences, too.
