So I got GWX,Rapt0r's Uniforms,M.E.P v6 and your mod game crashes every time i try to launch any mission in loading screen. I use Windows 7 and have Ubisoft Version of the game.
Do you use 4Gb Patch?

No I don't and i think now I understand the problem with it cause I don't have 4gb patch.
Edit: It still crashes the game after installation

I'm thinking about buying a Type IXC 40, but I'm not sure how the three different IXC 40 mod folders work. I assume that the IXC 40 (plain?) is the base and that you first get rid of any IXC skins you might have in JSME.
But the other two mods for the IXC 40 (rusty and anti-sonar coating) are those applied in addition to the IXC 40, or are they applied in lieu of?

IXC/40 will replace your IXC (simple) and complement your existing skins. But if you want, then installing rusty they will overwrite them. Nothing terrible will happen.

Is there any hope for the IX D2 to join the pantheon of these beautiful mods?
One of my late war favorites. You can go to such exotic places to sink or to be sunk. The War in the Indian Ocean and Western Pacific seems to be a wee bit more survivable than the Atlantic in '44/'45.
Anyway, if anybody has heard anything I'd like to know.

:k_confused:I just bought the new type IXC/40, then I bought equipment including Fumo30, then after loading the career I went on the bridge to see the new radar, and I saw...nothing yeah nothing where the radar is placed then I go to radioman to turn on the radar nothing I can't click on radar:o:o; So I save & exit go-to equipment click on Fumo30 again and it says "You already have it"...:06::06: what the hell:k_confused::k_confused:

The GWX late war sensors mod is just for the RWR on the snorkel I think. I believe this is the radar fix for the U-boat compilation 1:

I'm no expert with it but am aware of some issues. It has some placement problems with Fumo-29 on some towers and will overwrite your sensors.dat file, which may have implications depending on what other mods you're running. Hope this helps some!
Oh and also assuming it works, it's shift/ctrl + R to raise/lower the antenna.

I appreciate that tidbit of info, but... LSH3-2015, comes with a auto patcher, that does what is needed to to apply the h.sie patch. So no need to do that part.
Don't remember when I did the install, if LSH3 includes the 4GB patch or not. I do know that when I began the process to set up for SH3, I used 'Front End' which includes a option to patch the SH3.exe, & I think I may have used that option when I installed SH3 using 'Front End'. Checking the folder where SH3 (modded with LSH3) shows that there is 4GB patch applied. So no need for that, either.

Ok, can understand that there can/maybe/will be work involved to get it to work... so beyond saying that it'll take work to make it work, you mind shining a search light on what would need doing to make it work...
I still enjoy tooling about in SH3, & would love to see the uboats look realistic, as they do in the work you did with Op. Monsun: Dark Waters.

i downloaded every file the second one appears with a check mark stating that it downloaded great but the first one is heavy and and it like stops halfway the download and dosent finish therefore appears with a red X, anyone found a fix for that or is the file corrupt?

When I launch the game with the mod enabled, the conning tower skin sits about ten feet forward of where it should be on the Type IX. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
I might just be being dumb, I'm relatively new to modding.

Hi all,
Finally got around to learning a bit of modding and I'm working on my own little 'blend' of mods using NYGM as a base.
I've noticed that when enabling this mod, it seems to alter a lot of files other than just the graphical files needed for the new sub models. For example it alters basic.cfg and the sensors files.
What exactly about this mod needs to make changes to those files? I'm wary of replacing NYGM's current setup with the files from this mod, and I'm not really sure how to make them compatible because I don't want to change anything about this mod that's crucial.
Is there any reason why we can't just use the graphical elements of this mod and leave the other bits out?

I tried to convert the tower to a late war version. I am not satisfied. Is there a conversion for GUC or can someone do this?

im new to modding and i hit a solid brick wall..
i got TKS118 downloaded 1 and 2
ok so far so good, put them on JSMG
downloaded FixAllSubs and new Uboat Guns Fixed
put all of them in JSMG and when i start the game i click Missions (thats my way of testing mods see if they worked) and it kicks me off at 90%
am i missing a download? i honestly dont want any unqiue sub skins i love them default.
also moving New Uboat gun fix removes my TKSS18 from JSMG not sure whats that all about

Unpack 4Gig Patch copy and paste it to your SH3 folder then double click on the yellow icon then it asks you where your SH3 is located the click browes and guide it to where your SH3 Folder is located

Yes I have, I honestly can’t figure out why I’m having this issue, I’ve reDownloaded the mod multiple times, and it still persists. The only thing I can think of is that when I reinstalled SH3 and copy and pasted my mods, maybe something broke. In which case the only solution would be to redownload all of my mods. I’m fine with doing this but I’m not sure if it would fix anything
Actually now that I think of it, that can’t be the solution because I’ve always had this problem
I have now undownloaded and redownloaded every mod, except for GWX. Could my install of GWX cause this issue?

I fixed the snorkel glitch! For some reason MEP v6 visual sensors was causing my issue, I accidentally discovered that while moving it for a different problem I also fixed. I no longer have that ugly snorkel anymore

Thanks, I'm trying to figure out what the guns fix and the AI fix are actually for though. I mean, what problems are they fixing exactly? I've looked but couldn't find this information.

Welli managed to made it work on the IXC40, fumo 29 shows perfectly in the tower and the radar is working and the functions of on and off and sweep are displayed on the radio officer, switched to VIiC in 1944 the fumo 29 doesnt show on the tower and the radar functions of the radio operator aren't working but still the radar its working I get radar signs detected but the radio an functions don't respond, aby idea of what could be causing this!?

Folks, I am playing type 21 uboat career. Apparently the sub battery never 100% recharged after it discharge. Is it a stock sh3 bug or...? :06:

Activate using JSGME. ***BE PATIENT*** - some mods can take 10 minutes or longer to be activated due to the quantity of files being backed up and replaced.

Pretty much have to make adjustments for this mod to work with anything.

I would suggest, since your are running GWX, you may want to look at and try Onealex modded GWX which includes amazing details, game play, environment and et cetra.

I only used the latest works of Sphere and Wise. The eagle will be removed from the outbreak of hostilities. How it was done historically. You don't have to do anything.

I think for Type IIa is the attack and air target periscope swapped. If I am right, the attack periscop must be be the rear periscop.

On submarines of the Typ II, two periscopes were installed: in the middle of the central post compartment, closer to the stern of the submarine, was the working part of the anti-aircraft periscope, and closer to the bow of the submarine - the commander's periscope shaft
One additional question about your version of GUC. Have you also working victory pennants integrated?
I ask, because I tested at the moment only type IIA and there are no pennants, if I full raised periscope in harbor.

I've been looking for it on my backups but haven't been able to find it. I also had a mod I think called Church's Observation Scope that changed the GUI periscope view so you could see higher and lower.

How exactly do i install this? I downloaded part 1 and 2,used winrar and clicked on "extract here",which combined them.Then i moved the folder into the mods folder.This is how I've been playing like this for all of my patrols,but i'm not sure if i installed it right.Do i have to install them separately?

I have that too.But why do the keyboard commands not work? If i press shift+N,or ctrl+n,the UZO doesn't appear.Same with the observation periscope,if i press shift+o or ctrl+o,it doesn't go down.What do i do? Here is my modlist:

First disable mod with Jsgme. With S3d open in Uboat compilation\data\Library\Sensors.dat\node-Visual \Sensors.data,and set-PreciseRange=12 500 ,MaxRange=16 000
Ok for some reason the 4 mods necessary for u boat compilation to work, make me loose ships flags in GWX
Not all of them, but many (90%)
It can’t be in the Gun Fixed Rework though. Maybe in the Fix all Sub mod... or in the 2 compilation parts
Still investigating. That’s very strange because when i deactivate the 4 mods i get the flags back.
Have to localize the faulty file inside
ÉDIT: Found the faulty files. Deleted the Flag and FlagS files in Library of both U-Boat Compilation (part 1 and 2) and got back all boats flags! Don’t really know why those U-Boat compilation have to do with boats flags.
Thought it was only to get SH5 sub.
EDIT2: have to delete also all nationality flags in data/texture/tex...in both part 1&2.
Because flags were inverted. Now back with GWX3 stock flags!
Btw. I see that in this mod has differents reknown points than GWX. I prefer GWX realism (much harder). I need check basic.cfg so.
And only then install TKSS18 German U-Boats Compilation
You may need to be Reworked guns & Radars.

I finally found the reason the commands weren't working!!! It's because i had gwx integrated orders enabled,i put it before the compilation mod and now they work.But,how do i make mep v6 visual sensors to work with this mod? I edited the sensors.dat file in the compilation mod and the fumo fix SNS mod,i changed the precise range to 25000 and the max range to 16000.In the mep v6 readme it says:
"Only the visual settings are tweaked for each supermod (all other sensors-radar,hydrophones...etc-are just as authors of supermods have set them).
you can skip the installation of sensors pack if you are not satisfied with my settings at visual sensors.
that way you go back at the original settings of supermod but i suggest you to edit only your Sensors.dat (with s3d) and set,at visual node, preciserange=19800 and maxrange=19900 .this is necessery in order your crew to spot the ship at about 20km"
But i don't really understand,do i have to change the sensors.dat files in the compilation mod and the fumo fix sns mod to these values (19800 and 19900)? If i have mep v6 visual sensors placed AFTER these mods in jgsme,wouldn't it be unecessary to change the sensors.dat files in these mods,because the mep v6 visual sensors mod overwrites them? Forgive me if i'm annoying but i'm very unskilled at these things.

The sensor.date file has models of individual nodes that are very important for the operation of the 3D models.

If you change it, you may disrupt their correct operation. A visibility of 20 km is super real. I do not recommend installing this M.E.P. fix.

EDIT TO BE MORE CLEAR :
On the submarine type XXI, the UZO (visual model) can't be "mounted" (when you order "shift+N") on its "pivot"
To correct this, go in the .dat file of the type 21 submarine, find the StateMachineCtl node attached to the UZO node, and change the GraphName from "UZO_Type7_sim" to "UZO_sim".

So i did some test...
I installed U-Boat IXC 40 and i was testing the radar and it worked!
I think its because of the Turm9c_3_hd.dat and/or sensor.dat

When I try to extract it to the MODS folder using 7zip this occurs at the very end:

Ok, just downloaded both.. part 1 & 2... into the same folder during download. highlighted both parts, then right clicked & selected unzip here... & the end result... an unzipped mod... with NO errors reported.
Hope this helps.
Side note... on downloading part 1... & part 2... I made sure that I got both, from the same source. There is 2 sources... 1st is MediaFire the other, is from Mega. Not that it should matter... but... why take a chance, eh... no need making life more difficult than it is... :shucks:

Though this mod is incredibly refreshing compared to the rusted / low quality skins with other mods of which this mod fulfills this purpose massively.
However, there are two (of which I've found) issues that plague this mod from being nearly flawless. The first issue is that the Hull of the Submarines can become black and leaving the conning tower textured without Issue. So far I have not found any indicative fix for this issue.
Secondly, the Deck Gun, a fairly important weapon in your arsenal but for some reason is rendered useless as this mod seems to break it. As a result directly effecting the games game play. So far I haven't found a direct solution to this either.
And somewhat thirdly, the library/flag.dat when extracting the files also seems to be an issues I haven't seen a properly formatted solution to yet.
If anyone knows the solutions to these issues that be quite nice.

Not sure you can run GUC in LSH3. I tried GUC out in CCoM (Commanders Choice of Mods) but had lots of issues, and LSH3 uses the same Ship and Uboat models as CCoM. The Uboat skins in both CCoM and LSH3 do not look all that bad, imho, so did not spend a lot of time trying to make it work, fwiw.
That would very well be the cause for both of your issues of black hull and non functional deck gun.
Your loading order for you mod list for GUC in not correct. You would need to load TKSS18 German U-boats Compilation No Eagle first, then GUC 2 (only VIIB & VIIC by Wise, followed by GUC FUMO fix, GUC guns fixed for German Uboat Compilation, and a GUC Senor fix. Not sure if there is a senor fix for LSH3, however.

So far after trying that configuration, its resulted in CTD. Which is strange.
Also, is the dat.Flag actually causing issues for the mod because that still persists after each extract.

Hello all, I am also getting the problem where the boat will not surface in a reasonable amount of time. I am mainly a Type XXI player but I have also tested the issue on the Type VII and it is consistent. On the XXI it is even worse, as Emergency Surface does not fix the issue typically. The boat only counts as "surfaced" after slowly climbing its way to 7m, regardless of what the cfg file has the boat's "surfaced depth" set to. I also tried editing the boat's draught in the .dat file, that didn't help either. This is quite the confounding problem - I can find nothing in the GUC mod files that would influence when the watch crew go on deck. Can anything be done?
Edit: did more testing and verified that the problem is 100% in one of the files in the Submarine/NSS[...] folder for each specific boat, as I dumped that directory by itself into my build of the game and the problem was present. Of course now I'm considering trying a full reinstall, but...you know how it is. My modlist is so long, many of which are heavily customized. Before doing that I'd like to wait and see if someone reports back how they fixed it. I use GWX for context. Thanks in advance guys.

These are 2 parts of one archive I think. Put them in the same folder and extract only part1.

Ahnenerbe and
ARB are two different approaches to the 1920x1080 interface, why did you install them both? It's not your problem though. Try installing Fix All Sub before TKSS18

What can I do to install and implement this U-boot complication mod so that it works correctly, what is the loading order, what add-ons? Does it not work with the GWX NYGM mod? :Kaleun_Wink:

What "guy" are you talking about and what version of NYGM are you running?:hmmm:
Fifi's NYGM has not used GUC since 2021 or so and the current version of NYGM Steel Coffins has its own boats. So if you are trying to add GUC, your going to have issues.:yep:

IIRC you had to install the GUC in a specific order into NYGM (that was before the "Steel Coffins edition), with the corrected GUC files for NYGM. I find nothing wrong with the current Uboat models used in Fifi's mod.:yep:
If it means anything, I stopped attempting to add any mod the the current NYGM Steel Coffins as it can really screw the pooch.:doh:

yes, it has an external appearance, but not the interrior of the u boat :) and there would also be an emblem of a raven and a swastika on the boats, but there are none.
so I can't add extended mods for the interior of the boot, etc. to NYGM?

You still haven't said what version of NYGM your trying to apply GUC to.:hmmm:
That is an old version of NYGM Enhanced Hardcore v2.5 or so from what I can tell at a brief perusal.
Anyway, all that, as Fifi has says above, you don't need to include it as the models in NYGM are based on GUC and has modified them so it plays nice in NYGM Iron Coffins. You are better of just down loading the current version and get playing instead pulling your hair out trying to get it to work.:up:

Well, I'm just pulling out my hair, I've been trying to figure it out for a few days now and I really don't know what's wrong with the OneAlex GWX version, this mod doesn't work also :k_confused:

NYGM Enhanced Steel Coffin v7.5 is the latest version. Fifi has a link on his signature that will link for the download. Here's the link if needed :

First, with this version of NYGM you will need a clean (not modded in any fashion) copy of SH3 and you install NYGM over top of that.:up:
As Fifi indicated above you do not need to install GUC as he has already has it included and maximized so it can run on his NYGM set up. You are just upsetting the apple cart trying to apply it again. You will not be able to duplicate what is in the video with the current NYGM setup now.:03:
The current version of NYGM is not very modifiable, if at all. Just causes issues if you do. Fifi does not recommend modding his versions of NYGM.:yep:
GWX Onealex Edition is a plug and play, no modding needed. SH3 is already built in. Read the readme for assist with the install. He too is using a variation of GUC in his version.
