What this mod is in essence...

1) It's pure Trigonometry, no mapping or plotting
2) From a 1 degree measurement (this can be up/down scaled when popping the scope up or down, depending on circumstances), you can effectively calculate within seconds, via swinging a 'slide rule':-

a) Relative target course (this is normal)
b) Target Range
c) Target Range at torpedo impact
d) Target speed

What more do you want to know... :wah:

I'll need some time to digest how this works. At first sight it seems quite complex. But at the same time it looks familiar. Could it be you already made a blueish version of it years ago? Or was that someone else?

Could it be you already made a blueish version of it years ago? Or was that someone elseJa, That was specifically for SH4, as it had ship measurements on it.

This one has some improvements, and geared for general use in any of the SH series (or .. if you own your own sub and are still at war with the merchant marine :) )

What I'll do when this one is 'fixed', I'll make some high-res images so that one can make 'real' one.

Got my brain sorted.. here's the action clip.. and there's a slightly longer clip coming up explaining how it all works...

I did this slowly so to make it easy to understand- took me 6 minutes to get ship speed, closest range, bearings ..ect.. at a range of 6500m..
It can take no less than 30 seconds after the 1 degree reading, and you don't have to limit yourself to a 1 degree reading (a 0.25 degree will do - longer readings are more accurate)

In the meantime study your trigonometry... :arrgh!:
