View Full Version : Mod Validator states file doesn't exsist

Hi, Recently reinstalled silent Hunter 5, so I could choose German language instead of English Have played in past with Kiel pilot and automation scripts and also Steel vikings interior plus TDW 7.4.2 real navigation. However this time round for some reason game isn't regonizing the mods and Mod validator says files don't exsit? The files have Data inside them. Any help would be appreciated.

You have the 'Mods Folder' showing in your SH5 Main Folder?

You have 'Mods' showing not enabled in 'JSGME?'

When you right click and select 'Explore' you can see the 'Data Folder' ?

Hi. Yes I have a Mods folder in my documents titled SH5 Mods. All have been extracted by 7zipTthen I have imported them via JGSME into MODS folder in main SH5 folder. they show up on the left hand side of JGSME and have activated them. When I start game I have no script for Kiel harbour but can see automation prog. But no steel vikngs interior nor more crew dialogues? Mighty fine crew and more accurate flags and more emblems all working. All available mods show a Data folder. I had these mods all activated in my previous installation when using English installation. I'm patched to 1.2 silent hunter. The reason I reinstalled game was to use German language. I have also set MenuEditor to 'No' Modding 'Yes, Debugscripts yes

I have just sorted and solved the problem. For some reason when I went to tasks Generic Mod Enabler and imported an unzipped mod into Available Mods and mod folder. A duplicate folder walso created within the main SH5 folder. What I did was to drag the duplicate onto desktop and delete the mod in the Generic Mod Enabler. Then went to Tasks and imported the folder from desktop into the Generic Mod Enabler.I don't why this problem occured in the first place though. Thank goodness for DarkWraiths Mod Validator which was indispensable to solving the problem. Which for anyone who needs it can be found in SH5/Mods/New UIs_TDC 7.4.2/Data/Applications. Thankyou Berbester for your replies to me. I have found your large contribution and input to this site invaluable at times and you always put over assistance in all your posts in a helpful and concise way
