TMO "Crew Berthing" Compartment?

Is the Crew Berthing Compartment analogous to "Hogans Alley"? If not, what is it there for?

So far in my TMO career I have a sugar boat, but when I go to the school missions I get a Porpoise class and it has this compartment - filled with crew.

Yes it's hogan's alley. The fact the game fills it up during missions/campaign is just the game being the game. You should empty it and use it for deck watch when submerging.

I recommend giving the TMO manual a read. Some excellent info in there.

The crew berthing happens to have just the right number of spots to safely stow your deck gun and AA crews when submerged so they don't get killed by those pesky depth charges as they are still on station in their scuba gear.:hmm2:
