PBM Mariner in SHIII

Hi, does anyone know whether there is any mod that incorporates PBM Mariner in the SHIII game? I find it a shame that a flying boat with 10 u-boat kills is not represented in game.

maybe it is just that: only 10 kills.

Yes, but that is 10 kils more, than, for instance Gotha Go 224 Flying wing, Vickers Wildebeeste, He 162 volksjager and many other a/c modelled. BTW U-513, commanded by Kptlt. Guggenberger, who sank CV Ark Royal, was sunk near Brazilian coast. (see youtube)

I think modders should reconsider adding fighter a/c to the game, when in reality none had much of an influence on u-boat war.

The problem there is that modders are not paid, and they work for no one but themselves. They make what they want to see, not what you or I want. If you can convince someone with that talent to make one, great. I would love to see it too. That said, I doubt saying that you (or I) think they should reconsider will have much effect on them, other than maybe make them not want to do it. :sunny:

All I wanted to say was that priorty in adding planes should be for those, that are included in listings on u-boat websites as ASW planes. Perhaps this disscusion will stimulate someone to model the PBM just as the Frog that modelled the PC 461. I really wish I could be better at making 3d objects and make it and than share, but unfortunately my graphics skills are equal to zero.:oops:

Get permission from the Flight sim Guys and convert that model.

It'll work but takes alot of time to make SH3/4 ready as they do come with stuff not needed like interiors and so on.

I'm working on a newer version of the K-Ship done this way.

I've gotten nothing but good responces from the guys I've contacted.
All they can do is say "NO!"
They won't come beat you up, burn your house down, or pee on your Car tires.

Just stress you WILL give them full credits where due.
A modders 'pay' is credits.

I converted a Flight Sim PBM to obj format to look at it.
Take all the interior stuff away and fix a few spots for SH rendering? Nice model.
Lot's of work in the 3D area and textures. Possible re-UV work unless your happy with a lot of texture files.
