About adding warships

Gentleman, i still have a question about adding warships from SH3 to SH4.
If i added some warships such as Repluse with the relative guns.data,but it will make some ships's gun disappeared.
Is there some one can tell me the correct way to add warships in order to avoid this conflict?

Don't overwrite the existing guns.dat. Instead create a separate one named guns_XX.dat where XX=the next available number for the guns files.
