Hello all,

I remember when I was playing Fast Attack the radio messages (and the radio console itself) was I guess at the time very very realistic although I have never seen one for real. Anyway I was wondering if there is a website or someone here could help me out to design authentic or at least a closer to reality Radio messages and mission briefings (layout, words, technical etcetc...)

For example I 'd like to see something more than just "Homebase reports a FF has been sunk etc.etc."

I mean real deal, real stuff here to help the immersion. thanks a lot...

Sounds like it's time to learn scripting. The DW editor manual and a lot of practice. Triggers scripts and doctrine. open some quality user made missions and study what they have done. You'll get it.

I've just modified messages from The Hunt for Red October...

Here is a message I made for a Bougainville mission

Z162136ZMAY TOP SECRET OMEO
FM: COMSUBPAC
TO: USS PROVIDENCE (UIC 21029)
INFO. COMNAVSUBFOR Z162136ZMAY
SUBJ: OP OCEAN KNIGHT
//N04220//
1. INDONESIA HAS OFFERED SUPPORT TO BRA REBELS IN BOUGAINVILLE.
2. RECON AND LOCATE REBEL CAMP AT TIMPUTZ
3. INFIL SF AT REBEL CAMP
4. CONDUCT IMINT AT ANWAR HARBOR
5. EXFIL SF AT TURAU BAY
6. INDO SSK AND FF HAVE BEEN REPORTED IN AREA
7. EXFIL AREA, RETURN TO RABAUL FOR REP
REAR ADM SAWYER SENDS

If you do some research on the net, you can find loads of info for real military operations, commanders involved, acronyms, etc.

I use a random four letter generator for the Top Secret code and this website is fun if you're stuck for a cool-sounding mission name! :arrgh!:

Is it authentic? Who knows! But it works for me!
