View Full Version : Death screen?
Hi, is there a way to completely turn off this death screen which stops the game and takes camera away from sub? I don't like my sub sinking but when it happens I would like to watch it go down to the bottom completely flooded and crushed by pressure

You use R.S.D. IIRC, right? And still somehow you managed to lose all your hit points (1000 with RSD) and see "death screen". Please tell me HOW?
Surface attack on British hunter-killer group during the daylight in the fine weather without intentions to dive maybe ???
Yes, I use R.S.D. but wasn't attacked by anything. I wanted to test this mod and dived at full speed. At ~230m the hull started to lose its integrity, some modules got destroyed but thats ok, I expected it :P But at ~290m where sub was so flooded it started to sink faster than it could dive, this screen took me away from this spectacle and finally stopped the game when one of my shipmates announced that sub is at 380m (the seabed was at 600m)
But you say that sub has hitpoints. Sooo it has some limitations, right? Mods can increase sub HP to prevent from death screen showing too early but they cant remove it completely? Maybe thats the problem? Without this mod I would be dead at e.g. 250m, not 290? But Im just guessing.

Well, in theory you could set HP's so high that they will never reach 0. This is what vdr1981 made with his mod, but 1000 HP's are evidently not enough for preventing the "death screen" from popping up in some cases.
