I did do a search for this since it must have been discussed someplace, but no luck with any keywords. :huh:When running in heavy seas, waves occasionally break over the bridge, but never get as high as the surface search radar dish. Yet the blasted radar is constantly cutting off, and the lazy lubber at the radar controls never automatically turns it back on again.
What I'd like to do is increase the cutoff depth just to eliminate that annoyance in heavy seas, does anyone know which file affects that?

Sorry I can't help with your mod question.
But searching a forum can be done using Google. It works very good.
Start with searching Google with the phrase "use google to search forum" to see the syntax to use. Good Luck

Same thing happened in real life. You would lose the radar not only from the waves but also the roll of the boat in seas. Even in relatively moderate seas you had to deal with the radar beam not being a flat plane across the water due to the roll of the boat.
... I'd say play it that way.
Searching Subsim or any forum can easily be done using Google:
Type in your browsers' search box:
site:subsim.com keyword keyword keyword
Then hit 'Enter' - will give you results on Subsim.....
I don't think there is a solution to that 'problem' other than to raise up a couple feet.... My radar only shuts off if I'm at the station, or too deep at 'radar depth', and waves wash over.
Happy Hunting!
