Okay guys, after i learned on how to use the Mission Editor i decided to make my own custom mission for SH5 (It's still WIP though) :

Summary : Japan is at war with the USA, the US has sent their Task Force (Including New York Battleship) to attack Japan directly at Indonesia.
Now that you and the 2 other U-boat are in the right position to join the attack by using the Wolfpack tactic, Your mission are to assist the Japanese intercept the US taskforce and sink the NY Battle ship and the tanker.

Location : Off the coast of Bali island, Indonesia (Japanese occupied zone)
Historical mission? : No, a just for fun mission during the campaign "Monsun Gruppe".

This mission of course, still not completed yet, and I'm open to suggestion guys!:salute:

And by the way, what should i do to make the wolfpack more effective?? (Like. the formation or something?):hmmm:

looks good so far

when you are about to finish it and play it a few times for testing you will see where things need to be rearranged or changed around a bit, it always ends up that way

often the biggest mistakes made in mission building are difficulty, distance, and numbers, having too many ships or not enough so things are too easy or harder then you want it or having things too close together so it appears crowded or too far apart where you don't get the action you want. as you learn more you will get a "feel" for these things.

Going by your aknowledgements and by your screenies, I suppose your historical mission in based on OHII and mtns. For compatibility with stock game, I suggest you to include in your package all the units from the above mods used in your mission.

Stock sub's AI is totally dumb. You should enable IRAI to make them a bit better. Also wait for Trevally to reply in this thread: he might have some wise words for you :03:

Thanks! And I totally agree, in my case, it was the difficulty and the distance.

You're right, but i think i'd prefer to make a note like "You need OHII first or mtns in order to play this mission" rather than include the whole needed mods just to play my mission.:haha:

:hmm2: IRAI is a mod that will make the enemy more aggressive right? And it also make the sub's ai smarter too? i'm gonna download it latter then!
