I'm going to object to trying to bring stick figures into the totally off subject discussion.
:hmph:

I'd notify Steve or Jim but I don't want to to hear about them debateing what a stick figure is!

I'd Raeder that we stick to the Speer-it of the discussion.

For WW1/WW2 I identify German subs as Uboats, mainly because in all the books I have read about them they are referred as U99, U505 etc...

For WW1/WW2 I identify British Submarines as ... Submarines. This is because in all the books I have read they are referred to by name as for example the Submarine Sea Tiger etc (Good O'l John MIlls) :arrgh!:

As for modern German boats... I have not really thought about it as I have not read much about them.

Cheers

Gary

thanks for the info, guys.
For those who don't know: post-war German subs follow the same naming scheme as before, starting with U1, and we still call them U-Boote - though this word is used for submarines from all nations.

The rumour however, that it's forbidden to play Yahtzee on them, is not true. :03:

Yahtzees? - never heard of them. We don't know what Yahtzees are. Maybe you'll find some of them next door.
In Germany Fou'll find onlyKniffels (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kniffel) - don't believe the lies of the ausländisch Wikipedia pages!
