for putting it up for download you need to zip it and for using with jsgme it has to have the correct file path so create a mod folder for it and name it as you wish then put a data folder in it and this is the format jagme needs to work correctly.
since you created the mod you must know how to create the proper file path for all the files in your mod so I wont get into all that.
for zipping or unzipping files you should use 7zip found here: http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
its free and its a great little program. if you use winzip or WinRAR for zipping or unzipping it sometimes gets corrupted depending on the format it was zipped in.
once you have 7zip installed, place your mod on your desktop, open 7zip, go through the file paths until you get to your mod and then highlight it, in this case C:\Users\user name\Desktop\ then find and highlight your mod folder, once you have a file highlighted then you can click on the green plus sign that says "add" and it opens a new window for zipping files.
now in the box that opens you will see on the right hand side two zipping format options, check the box that says "compress shared files" then click "ok" and that's it you are zipping files. you never want to change any of the other settings in that box that pops up or try to use the other option of "create SFX archive" because those are self extracting files that can show up and get flagged as a virus sometimes.
depending on the size of the mod you will see your zip file appear in a few seconds and then you unzip and check it in case you made any mistakes or forgot to add any notes but once zipped you cant or shouldn't try changing anything, if something needs editing just create a new zip file and discard the old one. when you are happy with it its ready to be uploaded for sharing or sent by email to your son.
hope all this helps

Task, save profile (in*.mep format). The *.mep file is the file extension name that JSGME uses.
A *.mep file is a list of all mods. Then your son can take the *.mep file and download all mods contained in your modlist; both your mods will be the same then.
Thanks for the help with this. I got it working. :D
