Installing Mods Questions

I am pretty new to SH5. I have had SH5 for a while but found it to be so different from SH4 which I played quite a bit, that I just sort of gave up on it.
Well I have decided to have another go at SH5 since I am retired now; I will have the time to invest in learning about the bewildering amount of mods for it.
I have a couple of questions to start off with. One is, are mods to be installed with JSGME or by
TDW Generic Patcher or both?
I think I want to use Sjizzle’s mod list with CSP Magui interface. I noticed on Sjizzle’s thread
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=204308 He shows a smaller mod list with Schleichtfahrt. What is Schleichtfahrt? I can’t seem to locate it in downloads.
Sorry to be asking all these questions but I am a bit stuck and hope to start enjoying SH 5 as much as I enjoy SH 4

Schleichtfahrt it's a mod compilation but is v very outdated...

i recomand u to use my mod list if u want to play with magui

TDW Generic Patcher or both? Can I just use the JSGME to install your mod list as you have it posted?

click on Sjizzle name at post #3. Navigate his profile (statistics) and you will find that he started a TDW patcher for beginners thread. It is the most current and has pictures that help.

For now, you must open the TDW patcher and follow the directions. It has many variables that you can change. It may seem confusing at first. Remember we were all there as newbies, too. Please do the best you can after reading the directions, then we will gladly help you if you still need help. Please, please read the directions first and try by yourself.

Most CTDs have occured from the advanced user settings in TDW patcher, if you do NOT enable them you will be fine. I enable the TDW patch as a JSGME mod, think of enabling TDW patcher just for JSGME and TDW patcher advanced users. There is a way to do it once you learn JSGME and TDW patcher.

search for TDW patcher in this form. At the bottom of the TDW patcher thread at post #1, there is other "How to use TDW patcher" help links.

Click on my signature (at bottom of my post) and you will see JSGME with other helpful links in one thread.

for TDW patcher take a look here (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=205620)
and take care if u use magui interface some patches are only for TDW's ui ... on my mod list thread u can find my .gps file for Magui interface...
