hello

im looking a Long time now for a Setup in sh3
where i have a strong air Situation starts 1939
it could be unrealistic

but i never saw a bomber under 1942

is there any Option for the air where lets say
the Setup from 42 starts on 39 ? :hmm2:

SH3/data/campaigns/campaign has some campaign files on it. You could try to find the 1942 bomber groups from there and then change the appearance date to 1939.

Another thing you could try is to change the Hurricanes (type=300) to Halifax bombers (type 301). I'm not sure about the type numbers. If the type number is right, you could just open the campaign file with Notepad, press Ctrl+H and then replace all type=300 with type=301. If it worked, even carrier-borne Hurricanes would probably be Halifax bombers after the change.

Or you could try NYGM. I read somewhere the skies near England are infested with Hurricanes in 1939.

Be sure to take a backup copy before any changes. Don't save anything while at sea. Changing the campaign files midpatrol will crash your game.

well

the british airforce had some Bombers 1939
avro anson mkj about 700 miles
amstrong whitworth whitley mk with a range about 1600 miles

1940
pby.5a catalina about 2500 miles

some of them was somewhere by begin at war for sure over the atlatic at day time right?

I believe I have seen Whitleys and Ansons later in the war, maybe 1942/1943 near the English east coast. If you find late war Whitley / Anson groups, you can change the date of appearance, thus making them more probable in 1939. If that does not help, maybe there is a switch that controls the probability of them showing up.

it could be a bug in silent hunter 3
