Greetings all!

So I have a few questions regarding my mod list, witch I will post at the end of this post.
So I used the patcher, and enabled the "Deck awashed" Patch. How do I give the order ingame to use that feature? I have the latest UI mod from TheDarkWraith, and I am wondering about the snorkel as well. Do I need a secondary mod for the snorkel to work?
And allso I saw in one of Stoianm videos how he used something he refered to as "economical fuel consumption" at 7,5 knots. This was TheDarkWraith work. I cant set my speed at 7.5 knots anywhere.

I will list my mods here how I installed them:

And are there any other must have mods, that I need for the game to run properly With this modlist?

Sorry for all the questions, but beeing new to modding are quite overwhelming With all these mods...:-)

from TDW mods folder enable wich u wish but do not enable the whole folder ....
enable pot each mods from TDW folder in your MODS folder and enable 1 by 1

First OFF: Welcome to Subsim Herr Shaefer! Second don't apologise for your questions: that 's why it's all here and is really the sole purpose for being so. Check in with FiFi or Sober for their complete newby-oriented mod lists and ask away; they and many others, more enlightened than I, WILL respond quickly...LIKE SJIZZLE!:rock: Have you tried to set 'custom'( hold the Ctrl button) on your speed and depth control to set awash and precise speeds- at lower left corner of main game interface? The same real navigation are from newuis by DarkWraith..:oops:
For the deckawashed, I do not have that button you are pointing at in the Picture. I just doubble checked it.
But I can however sail at 7 meters depth with the deck awashed (by pressing CTRL:up:)

I think I must have done something wrong at insallation. If I disable all the mods again, do you recommend a clean install before applying them again?

if u enable deckawesh from option file viewer do it only when u are in bunker.... do not forgot to save after u enable deckawesh from option file viewer....
i do all changes in optionfileviewr befor to start a new career or campaign to be sure that they work....

PS. after enable or disable something from option file viewer save and exit then start again the option file viewer and make other changes than save and exit ....don't enable or disable all what u want then save end exit ...

U must enable the deckaweshed also from TDW's Generpatcher !!!!

Thanks allot Sjizzle, everything is working flawlessly now, finally :D.
But there is one more thing. Is there a tutorial or guide on how to get different colour on my mapp drawing. Like green Compass, white ruler.... I`ve seen this in Stoianms videos, and I like it....

I think you need "Sobers Map Colors SH5 V1" mod to be able to select the colours from the Generic Patcher!

No.. he doesn't need anything else to choose colors.. sober's map colors is just a gradient of the map file.. there are many gradient files here around.. Generic Patcher changes colors of the map tools.. completely different things..

True, I got the colour working.
So there is one more thing. My navigator is taking his sweet time calculating my position. Is there a way to make him work faster?
Allso when he have calculated the position the mark he makes on my small map keeps going away, how to make it stay there? It is on my navigation map though.
I allso have a question about the real navigation script. Do I have to swap all the time to use the one that matches the time in the game?

When I asked the same, I was told to not use the TAI at all.

I've since concluded that it's perfect for torpedo plotting .. as it's irrelevant where you are for that. You need to know where the target is relative to you. So mark a spot, and calculate from that spot .. and your solutions will work fine and your nav map will be for just that ... nav.

It's not ideal but it works.

I allso have a question about the real navigation script. Do I have to swap all the time to use the one that matches the time in the game?
No. You start the one that matches current local time. So if you load a save, and it's 14.27 in-game when you load, you have to start the one that has this time in it's range.

U can change the map tools color in game also ...right click on the map tool and a window will show up and from there u change the color. U must do that for each map tool

As you can see he uses NewUIs 7.4.2.. this option doesn't exist there :yep:..

It would not open the colour chart for me. I kept getting 'no colours selected' Does this work only work on certain maps? I only saw the colours after enabling Sobers mod.

I suspect that what THEBERBSTER is talking about are just map colors rather than plotting lines colors. Eding the former doesn't require any patch or New UIs feature: it is just a palette texture :yep:

that one is made by naight but it's only the screenie of that periscope no mod with that periscope:( what i have now it's what u have made for Magui interface

If naights decides to release his mod, with his permission I could merge my 'reduced light transmission' masks with his 'dirty' ones, and make them available for other UI/periscope mods :up:

I do use my nav map for navigation. It is not a problem that the mark go away on the TAI map, all I have to do is tell nav.officer to report last position. Then it pop up on TAI for a few sec. And I start calculating my attack.

Hello again everyone!
I`m having some issues with my tprpedo attacks. Seems like the torpedos are hitting early. I have paused the game to get accurate plotting of my attack, still they hit early. That makes me wonder if I have the correct Scope mod. I am using the default from DarkWraith Ui mod.
My screen resolution are 1680X1050.
I have been looking around here for a while, but have not found any post about it....

I wouldnt know if the scope mod affect this .. by hitting early, do you mean it hits the front of the target when aiming at the middle ? Did you estimate speed or calculate it using a 5 minute interval and 2 possitions ?

You could test it by playing with map contacts .. and see if that eliminates the error by putting in 100% accurate numbers ?

I am having something of a wierd crash. Everytime I sink a ship, and want to go to my captains log to see the tonnage and sunk ships, the game freez. I have to ctrl-alt-delete, and stop the prosses and start over from the last save:o.
Anyone have a clue to this?

Do you use Generic Patcher? if so, did you enable any Render patches?

Yes, I use the patcher.
No, I did not do anything in the advanced section of the patcher. Should I enable it?

Seems like I fixed the crash problem by turning off the ai crew in the patcher. Atleast the game diddent crash for a while now, even after a few kills. Sweet.
Another question :). Is there a way to save the map plotting I have done, so they are there wen I load the game again? That would have been sweet allso...
