Deck canonsight with bearing indicator

Hey guys. Iwe been trying for a long time now, to incorporate a bearing indicator from UZO or periscope into deck gun sigt with no or limited sucsses. So im kindly asking my fellow sailors for any help, tips on how its done corectly. If my mod will be sucsesfull, and it wil work, i wil sheared with you guys!

This would be a great help. I am sure the gun crew knows which way they are facing so some indication should be available; perhaps just a partial compass box (I.e. N, NNE, NE, ENE, E, etc.) would suffice..
Danlisa made a mod to this effect for GWX binoculars.
(If I have the box wrong, please accept my apologies as I was in the Air Force and our directions were along the lines of "head off thataway".)
