View Full Version : 6 Months in jail for 6 counts of rape with minors?
http://www.tennessean.com/viewart/20130708/GALLATIN01/307080064/Former-middle-school-teacher-sentenced-6-months-jail-sex-students
“It’s a fair outcome,” said Assistant District Attorney Jayson Criddle, who prosecuted the case.
Bet if she was a man she'd be in prison for no less than 20 years to life for this much rape. Double-standard.
And here's another winner...
Judge slashes female rapist's sentence because she was hypersexual (aka horny) during the rape of an underage boy...

On one hand I totally agree with you - the outcome was totally skewed by gender.
On the other hand, at 17 the "boy" was likely sexually active already. Its that whole "how do you rape the willing" issue that bugs me on stuff like this.
Still, justice is supposed to be blind - and it sure wasn't this time!

You'd lose that bet. Link followed from your own article.

The ex-English teacher will be sentenced in July to six months in jail and 10 years' probation. He also will also be required to surrender his teaching license and register on the state's sex offenders registry.
Oh look, it's exactly the same sentence. Well nuts, there goes the narrative.

OK lets back up a second...
Here is the REAL question...
When I was 17 and in school - why weren't my teachers hot and ready to go like these were????

I'd agree with you but females in the US are more sexually active than boys are. So the sex of the victim should not matter. Rape is rape is it not? But society seems to have a bias against males who rape females compared to females who rape males.

Edited: He raped ONE girl. She raped TWO boys - multiple times each. Care to try again? :know:

Mmmm.....again, that isn't what your article seems to say.
Roughly a third of both male and female high school students reported being sexually active in 2011 (33 and 34 percent, respectively). (Appendix 1) In 2011, black male students were slightly more likely than black female students to report being sexually active (46 and 37 percent, respectively). There was no statistically significant difference in the prevalence of sexual activity between white or Hispanic males and their female peers. (Figure 2)
C'mon man, read some of this stuff.

He raped ONE girl. She raped SIX boys. Care to try again? :know:
I gave you a comparable example. Don't get mad at me because your work is sloppy. Next time, read before you post.
EDIT: And try two, not six. I grow weary of having to digest your information for you.
DePriest, a former Rucker-Stewart Middle School music teacher and Gallatin High School band instructor, was arrested on Oct. 18, 2011, and indicted in 2012 on 15 counts of statutory rape by an authority figure and one count of sexual battery by an authority figure for having sex with two underage male students. She pleaded guilty to six counts of statutory rape as part of her deal with prosecutors, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
I gave you a comparable example. Don't get mad at me because your work is sloppy. Next time, read before you post.
Ok, the female teacher raped the TWO boys multiple times each coming out to a total of 30 rapes combined between the two males.
The man in the article you linked to raped the ONE girl how many times? Once? Twice? Doesn't say so I'm guessing just once.
It's still not comparable. 30 rapes to 1? Come on man.
Mmmm.....again, that isn't what your article seems to say.
C'mon man, read some of this stuff.
33% male and 34% female. So female have sex more often than males in school on average. So more girls have sex than boys. Why don't you try reading it again.

How is one rape comparable to six rapes? Are you saying that 5 victims don't count?
No, I'm saying that four victims didn't exist. Read.

Again, it isn't my fault that your "sources" don't back up your statements. Normally, I would take this time to congratulate myself on my victory of reason, but this wasn't even sporting. I didn't beat you; you beat you. Next time, read your articles and may sure that you understand them thoroughly before making bold statements about them.
Well, that was anti-climatical.
Now what am I going to do with all this pop-corn?

All my mistakes have been corrected. I was reading through two articles and made a few mistakes. Doesn't mean I'm not right and this is total BS. Especially the 2nd article which you didn't even comment on. But I've seen enough women get a slap on the wrist for what would usually land a man in a prison cell for 10 to 20 years to make me vomit.
The Bangles cheerleader who raped a 16 year old? She walked out of court holding his hand after pleading guilty. Then she sued some website owner for libel because he claimed she slept with the entire Bangles team. Turned out he was wrong. She didn't sleep with the guys on the taxi squad. :O:
Amazing that you can rape a minor, walk out of court holding his hand after pleading guilty to a crime, and then sue a website and collect $350,000. Name one man who's been able to do that same.. You can't.
If you think the legal system is even close to being fair between the sexes for rape and molestation charges you're as blind as Anne Frank. :haha:

Sigh. The second article is the one that contained the link to the comparable story about the male teacher. They got exactly the same sentence for exactly the same crime. You know, the wise gambler knows when to push back from the table. I wish you did.

The second article I cited in my first post was about the teacher who had her sentence reduced because the judge found out that she's just a sex crazed horny woman. The first article at the top is the one I think you're talking about?

I can't make it any clearer. I've quoted and linked accurately and concisely. Sorry, but the problem here is on your end. I don't really read this forum anymore, but I heard from those that do about you, and came back to find a worthy opponent. I leave disappointed.

Wow - I look through the hottest 50 teachers to get caught having sex with their students and I miss all this...
Well - they were still more entertaining....

There was a rape case just like this at my local High School. I just happened to go shopping at the store right across the street and there was a TV reporter interviewing people, she came to me and explained what had happened and wanted my opinion
"Why couldn't I have been so luck when I was in school" I replied.
It did not make the 6 o'clock news.
