Generic patcher is an application to get rid of stock SH5 bugs.
THE "must have", for a good SH5 experience
DOES NOT WORK WITH STEAM

You can enable only the ones you want to use. If you don't want to use any then you don't. If you want to use them all then do. Advanced Users is just what it's name implies - for advanced users. Don't enable anything in Advanced users.

You missed 1 file at the beginning of post #1 of your 'How to' thread... there are only five files for backup and you miss this one - SimData.dll..

Don't enable anything in Advanced users.

I'm actually curious about this one because in the advanced parts of the patcher, you can disable the ubicrap launcher, online listener, etc etc.

You suggest not to touch anything in the advanced areas, however, how else is one to patch out the ubi online stuff, if one wants to just start the game without that?

Just a question, is all.

He's not saying nobody should use it. Just that if you're {like the OP} not very familiar with modding then don't worry yourself with the 'advanced' part, that's all.

ok I got my disc.

Acouple quick questions...

I was have major trouble finding the file on my computer. I ended up searching sh5.exe and found it.
Now I redownloaded my Jsgme to that folder. Unzip my 3 mods so far( crew morale, dynamic environment, and M crew mod). Dragged and drop them into the jgsme. Started a new campaign and didnt notice any difference?

Did I do this right?
Also I need a better TDC and the map tools I see all over youtube. Its hard as **** to hit a boat with a torpedo unless I am like 100 meters away.

Thanks again dudes for helping this modding newb out

Also*

Do I have delete all my saved files and start fresh? Cause I can no problem

Everyone is Google's friend, but no one ever mentions the poor Bing. Does anyone care about his feelings? :-?

Perhaphs he dropped his mods into the JSGME pool-list, but then he forgot to enable them?

@ Panzer_Core

the list of enabled mods is in the right JSGME window. Are the mods you want to use right there?

EDIT: as you can see - I have my stable mentality back :D

It was about time! :O: :D

"Google it!" has become a part of the English language.

"Bing it!" sounds like an insult. :O:

How exactly have you dropped them into the JSGME?
Did you drop them into the MODS folder?
If so, does this MODS folder in the root folder of the game?
If so, did you enable them in the JSGME windows (from left window to right window)?

Panzer Core,
Did you do any search for JSGME as others have stated?
If so, did you read any documentation?

JSGME links (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=204593)
