I have noticed that the reported bearing of sonarman matches the periscope bearing, however, the instrument's (sonar) pointer, has a difference of up to 10 degrees.
Is there a fix for this issue maybe something like calibration let's say, or do I have missed something?

:hmmm: heard of the periscope being off by a few degrees with some of the GUI mods out there but this is a new one.

Yes it happens in magui for 5 to 10 degrees!

Are you talking about when manning the station yourself?
Are you looking at the bearing on the notepad (the number in the upper right) or on the sonar cabinet (the needle pointing to the bearing)?
If you're looking at the bearing the needle is pointing to, there are two possible errors:
parallax error (the camera is not lined up with the center of the readout)
or
alignment error (the needle is not lined up with the center of the readout).
Or some combination of the two. When I use that station, I take bearings from the numerical readout on the clipboard because I have noticed a parallax error when doing the "hard work" myself.

E.g. when the sonar is manned with the sonarman and tracks a target:
the periscope points:080
the sonarman reports:080
the needle points: 073
the nodepad says:073
the strongest audio is at:080
it seems a missalignment of the needle...
Do you know where its hidden?

hi Geosub ,
Magui is not altering anything at the 3d parts of hydro room. the 'issue' that you are describing is a STOCK ( hardcode ) behaviour of hydro's needle
E.g. when the sonar is manned with the sonarman and tracks a target:
the periscope points:080
the sonarman reports:080
the needle points: 073
the nodepad says:073
the strongest audio is at:080

Do you know where its hidden?
a possible explaination of this 7 degrees difference is that sonarman is stopping the needle where the sound STARTS being noticable (and not at its peak as he does at his reports) .
from my point of view , the hydro room page seems... unfinished and no any serious work have been done there so my opinion is to not pay much attention there
