Im still working on the deck spray, butt im getting real close now
:yeah:
If you agree, I will put a link to this mod in DynEnv's tread :)

There is only one file (water fx shaders) in the DynEnv compatible version.. is this correct?
messageboy101
07-01-13, 08:31 AM
yes this is correct the WaterPS.FX file controls the Sea Foam of the U-boat (Well thats what it should do:D)
The BSF_Full file contains the smaller sub bubbles but im also going to add this to the Dynamic Env compatible file

Your main mod contains dozens of files.. not only water shaders and bubbles textures..
messageboy101
07-01-13, 03:32 PM
Well the main mod is now more of a Enviromental mod so if you only want to use the sea foam use the Dynamic Env file
Messageboy101, in your list order, you should have FX Update before NewUIs...just my 2 cents:03:
On side note, i've tried your Dyn Env file, and have to say external foam texture is improved. But i find there is too much white foam (compact without bubbles) at standart speed...like we can see on your second screen shot. It's all plain white layer.
At low speed, it's perfect though, so i don't know if it's your file related, rather than game speed giving that much foam :hmmm:
Meaning a thin long cigar like an U Boot can't make that large compact foam running only 10 knots ... maybe full speed at least :yep:
Don't know if you understand what i'm trying to say :-?
Navigating for RL with a motor boat, and also watching others bigger running 10 knot doesn't make that much foam on size anyway...

in about 6-7 weeks i will release a lite version of BSF_Full which is not fully compatible with Dynamic Env 2.9 since it will contain the enviromental zone files. and i will also release a second lite version wich is compatible with Dynamic Env 2.9:woot:
And the reason for 6-7 weeks is my holiday and where i go there is no internet or wifi:down:
i also will start modding SHIII:arrgh!:
Greets liam
See you guys in a week or 7 :subsim:

Why don't you release just one version of the mod, using DynEnv's enviromental zone files as base of your work? I have alway said that DynEnv's files are free to use to anyone wanting to improve them :03:

i created a lite version of Better Sea Foam with only the needed mod files and with advice from gap I used his environmental files from dynamic env 2.9. You can now have some good looking foam and great environmental looks
Credit also go's to gap for Dynamic Env 2.9

Nice
On a side note, I have had a look into the compatibility patch that you have released for DynEnv, but on which version of the above mod is your patch based on? Am I correct if I assume that it is the base mod? :hmm2:
messageboy101
10-04-13, 12:22 AM
Yes its the base mod

Which Dyn_Env mods wont work when i use BSF_Full??
Yes its the base mod
Thank you for confirming it :salute:
Which Dyn_Env mods wont work when i use BSF_Full??
Any optional mod of the 'DynEnv v2.9 - 5.* Ambient Settings' series. With Messageboy's permission, we could create a B.S.F. compatibility patch for each of them, and link the patches together with BSF_Full in DynEnv's download page.
But how many players use this mod by the way? How does it look coupled with Dynamic Environment? Updating all the envcolors settings is a real pita, and I have to be sure that people will use the two mods together, before I take on the hassle of merging their settings one by one. :)

Which Dyn_Env mods wont work when i use BSF_Full
BSF_Full has is own enviromental files which will overwrite the ones from dyn env mod, and BSF_Full also has its own enviromental colors which also overwrite the dyn env files to.
BSF_Dyn env compatible only has the wave changing files

Would be nice having a full version compatible with each of the various DynEnv's environment color combinations. :D

Hi there messageboy101, do you think if you decrease the bubble size of the surface foam the overall effect is that the foam become whiter ?, because with the stock bubble size fhe foam was less white

messageboy101
02-11-14, 10:12 AM
i think its whiter because you increase the area where you can see white since you decrease the bubble size.
i will look into the bubble size as soon as i fix my desktop (overloaded my motherboard )
tonschk
02-12-14, 12:58 AM
Therefore may be is better not to make the bubble too much small :hmmm: otherwise the foam become too much white

This might not be necessary, if we could decrease bubble's opacity and density. I think I have seen something about foam in the water shader :hmmm:

After some testing this i found this mod to be compatible with all the current mega mods ( Sobers mega mod, Wolves of steel and sjizzle mod list). Just install Better Sea Foam last.
I will make a version which only has the basic features to not overwrite to much of the mega mods
