Green trajectory line and ship dmg is back?

I just got everything working again? But now I notice that I can not save any gameplay options. The green laser of doom is stuck on and the ship damage indicator as well.

I check them to be off, apply setting, start game, boom still there. Go back, check and they aren't checked anymore.

How do you permanently disable them?
What is the file location to manually do it?

This is done in the game options - if you load a save game prior to the change - the change is undone.

In bunker - hit esc
in options - make changes
resume game
save game

Every game save from that point onward will have this change applied.
If you load an old save - change will be removed

Yes, you can change campaign difficulty options only in the bunker.. and not in the main menu.. the options changed in the main menu will apply only for the single missions..
