Light sprinkle of rain today and still very humid!
Slight shower for ten minutes at 06:30 was all it turned out to be.
Enjoying the chill snap down here. 3C when I got in the car this morning and getting down to -1C tonight. Daytime top only got to about 15C even though there wasn't much cloud about. You lot should come over here and cool off. Its like your normal summer temps right now.:O:

Left the washing out overnight on the off-chance that all my weather apps were right - a low of 17° and a dew point of 16° - Result! Dry washing in the morning.
Now it's 25°, we had a thunderstorm the other night - the one night I went to bed early(ish). Just rain planned now, for the airshow on Sunday, and all next week in the lakes. :hmph:

Positively biblical looking storm over Bordeaux way, very impressive radar soundings and lighting tracks.
Unlikely to cross the channel, but an indicator of the unsettled air that's going to possibly fuel tomorrows displays along the south coast.
Dam humid weather! Worst than yesterday..:hulk:
There better be a thunderstorm here or weather forecasters will face..:/\\chop
Dunno Steed, the MCS that I spoke of earlier this morning moved across France, into Belgium and is now battering the Netherlands. What it has done to the air may yet completely destabilise the models for todays weather.
In short, that biblical storm system could well have screwed up todays chances for storms. Although there are a couple of small storms around Normandy and Biscay has scattered s'ferics, so the game is still open.

The 'wall of lightning' as it's been nicknamed, is approaching Hamburg, here is a webcam (with sound) looking south next to the Alster. Should start to see things within the next hour or two:
http://www.earthcam.com/world/germany/hamburg/
Meanwhile in the UK, a few scattered storms are stumbling across the Channel towards Portsmouth and West-South-West England. Met Office has rolled back the action station times to later this evening.
3pm cancelled
Revised thunder storms 6pm
And now over to STEED sticking his head out the window...
Not a drop, not one dam drop of rain. Very bright, hot and humid without a cloud in the sky. :smug:

Currently 74 degrees in my back garden and its getting a bit cloudy
The storm over Normandy seems to be intensifying, possibly forming a 'Line Echo Wave Pattern' (LEWP) which can be a nasty piece of work alright.
I believe there is a warning for the potential for tornadoes in the Channel region, and if this thing keeps this up then I wouldn't be surprised if a few funnels formed up. It's a pretty tight structure, and not a fast mover.
We shall see which way it goes, at the moment it's leaning towards Kent/London but it could hit the Channel forcefield and bounce off to starboard and go terrorise the Flemish and Dutch again.

I've often wondered if the rules should say 450 overs in total need to be bowled, regardless of the timescales but that will obviously never happen.
In the very early days there was no time limit just play two innings for a result.

We have been having one of the most moderate years temperature wise that I can ever recall. Our lows in Jan & Feb were around 10 degrees C higher then average. Usually our coldest months with temps sometimes in the -23 to -30C for weeks at a time yet we never got below -20C. Now this summer has been cooler then average, usually in the 20-25C range which suits me just fine. Of course for some daft reason, people are complaining about the summer that never was but these same folks seem to change their tune pretty quickly whenever we have a temps in the 25 to +30C range. A week of that and they are practically begging to see some relief.
We sure had one heck of a June in regards to rain. It wasn't to bad until about the 3rd week in June and then the mountain regions received 200-300 mm's in a relatively short span. We had a one in 200 year flood event back in 2005 but the volume recorded at a couple sites this year was at least 3 times that. One small town named appropriately "HighRiver" just south of us was about 80% underwater:

Well, I'll start small with a former schooling bike of my driving school (if I fit on that thing that is , couldn't test ride it yet). A Kawasaki 250 el "Eliminator" which I will get for a steal (after ca. 15 years of forced prostitution in a driving school and having kissed more tarmac than John Paul II he couldn't make it expensive after all :D).
I'm not much of an acceleration or top speed fetishist so the cute 27hp might be enough for me. We'll see. The thing is scheduled for the repair shop for maintenance and the mandatory technical inspection (I think you call it MOT in the UK) for the end of this week so I could get it early next week (if the current owner actually gets it into the repair shop in time...).

Yep, used to scare myself on R6 so on R1 I'd probably be dead! :dead:
I had a go on a mates Thundercat (YZF600R) and it was like an armchair compared to my R6, and just because it can rev to 15k rpm doesn't mean you have to (often!). :D
