Hello everyone!

I'm currently endeavoring to make my "ultimate" SH3 install, and then back it up for good. That way, whenever I want to re-install SH3, I won't have to go through a 6 month troubleshooting period to get all my mods working properly. :har:

So, Question 1:

What mods are you running, and in what order? I'm just curious what all is out there, and more importantly, what order to install in/what compatibility fixes you use. So if some people want to throw their mod list up here, it'd make a good references! :salute:

Question 2:

h.sie's hardcode fix seems AMAZING. Wolfpacks. My God.

Since I'm working on my mods, I'm not playing very mcuh, so I haven't really had a chance to see the wolfpacks in action during a career. Could I get an after-action report of a wolfpack action? How well did it go? Any screenshots? Furthermore, does it work like with real wolfpacks, with the escorts going after the AI U boats?

Lastly:

My Sincere thanks to EVERYONE here at subsim. I am certainly guilty of taking more from the community than I have given back. You guys have given me 24hr tech support, and all I did was a rutty 'pinup girl' mod! :subsim:

It is a very good idea to back up your favorite SH3 installation.

IMO , there isn't any "must have" mod list that applies to everybody.
It is more that possible that every single player here in Subsim might have his/her own personalized version of SH3.
What seems appealing to player A is just useless for player B.

So , it is up to you
Mod it like YOU think is the best and save it.

Mostly, I'm looking for inspiration to toy around with myself. The mod listing out there now is truly massive. Also, if people are using similar mods as me, seeing what order they have them running in can be a big help, at least for me!

In order for that mod soup to be stable extensive modification has been done to menu_1024.ini , en_menu.txt , commands_en.txt and who knows in what other files which I can't recall.

U-48Kriegsmarine (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/member.php?u=239219) - You still have a valid post even though you pointed out a Mod list thread of which there are several. The problem is most of these list mods from 2009 - 2011 and have numerous mods which have been revised.

In my recent quest to garnish more mods I have learned that numerous of these people (ie Sailor Steve, Von Harris, Makman, HW3,Frau Kaluen to name a few) have modded/tweaked the command, menu_1024.ini and other files to make them work using WinMerge and trail and error. I am still trying to find out how to do permanent installs of mods as Sailor Steve states.

So my point is a new listing of mods showing the mods install with version #'s or and if they did any tweaking would be highly appreciated to a lot of members as it would show what mods can be installed and (key word) SHOULD work. Thanks:up:
