Hi,

Running decks awashed (stock TDW setting is 7.5?), my watch officer isn't able anymore to give me contacts spotted (little binocular icon greyed).
Don't remember how to do for the icon to be back...any idea of what file to adjust?

Don't remember how to do for the icon to be back...any idea of what file to adjust? That is the trade off , otherwise you would use it everywhere . You can still use the uzo .

Don't think i gonna use it that much...Depends , you show a much smaller profile to the enemy , basically only the tower . Sneaking into scapa at night for example is where i would use it . Only if playing in 3D views though while sneaking past DDs .

has something changed up to now? I play TWOS megamod with decks awashed option and questioned myself when this ever is usefull? Rarly occasions like the case of sneaking in but even then I would like to have contact spotting on because you are always travelling with TC and don't look all the time from the bridge 360°.

So has something changed that spotter is on now?
When is it really usefull?
How strong is the effect of not been seen?

How strong is the effect of not been seen?It works exactly as intended .
With contact spotting on you would always be travelling at decks awash , hardly realistic .
The less your enemy sees of your uboat the better . Keep this in mind at all times when playing one of the mega mods . The camouflage is the first upgrade I get , why because a darker sub is harder to spot . Keep in mind that if the enemy is alerted to something and on the lookout then the only thing is to be submerged . With decks awash and camo I have been sitting still at decks awash on a dark moonless night and a destroyer passed by at around 500 mts and didn't see me .
