View Full Version : Ship Radar, Modder looking for insights

I have been experimenting on giving ships like the Konigsberg cruiser Radar sets (I know this is not realistic) But When I give the Bismarck the FuMO23 radar, the ship uses this and attacks targets through heavy fog, but when I give the Konigsberg or the Germany class pocket battleship a Radar, it will not fire through heavy fog under the same circumstances.

Also, when I give a destroyer the Radar it will fire at will through heavy fog.

I gave the KM Hannover a radar and it just fled instead of using it's guns.

I have studied the Nodes for the radar, but they appear to be in a good spot, but the ship does not appear to use the radar's provided.

Any insights would be appreciated.

I am collecting data and trying to compile information so I can mod Radars to all the correct ships like cruisers and such for a mod, but If these base tests are not yielding any good results.

Also, the ships keep fleeing and not following their waypoints? and this makes it hard.

Any one with any experience on this topic, please enlighten me.

I keep having problems with the waypoints on the ships, they seem to flee and not follow their points.

I have been looking through my older files, but I am unable to find anything relating to the ships firing through fog.

I had a few ships doing it once, but I cannot remember what setting controls it.

Anyone with any experience please help.
