Okay, since it's my honor to start this off, I'm giving it to someone I think is deserving and worthy. He's still fairly new, and still young, but has shown a willingness to help and be a valuable part of the community, and a good amount of wit on top if it all.
This first Abaraham award goes to: Red October1984! :sunny:

Right. Okay.
First off, Happy Easter! :)
The member I want to hand this off to is, in my opinion, one of our most helpful members. He is great at pointing new users in the right direction and is very active and helpful in the Silent Hunter 4 Forums. He also has a knack for some good General Topics threads. :yeah:

Oh, thank you! Thank you, Subsim for my first award.,{much applause} Please, everyone sit down, thank you, please, sit...thank you. {more applause}
I have to thank my family in NC, the state of NC. I want to thank Neal for Subsim. I want to thank Red for passing the award, even though I feel I should've gotten it before him, but thank you. I want to thank my many friends, Wolferz, uh..Wolfez,..er, well, all my many friends here. I want to thank Steve for spell checking my many post, the many infractions over the years. I want to give a shout out to the Ubirats, those special members that bring meaning to my fake internet character, who I would happily share this award with if I had any decency, but I dont. And to my beautiful wife, even though you complain, don't cook, clean, spend too much money, at least you let me pretend to be a sub skipper, so thank you as well, I guess.
I was once just a kid from NC who dreamed, ate, and slept submarines and so I want to thank the modders for making the game playable and for making a lifelong dream come true. Thank you.
Also, thanks to Ginger on Gilligan's Island for helping me get through puberty.
Thanks to Mom and Dad for not using protection during the Cuban missle crisis....
Mostly, I want to thank my dog Bear, you continue to inspire
me and give meaning to my life.
I will place this award on my wall, where it will forever remain.
Thank you all!

Thanks guys, first time I've spotted this thread. Thank you for voting for me Mookie, appreciate it. :yep:
Took me a little while to think about this, but not that long, this man has given a lot to both this site and to me, he's donated frequently, hosted a reliable server for both gaming and communication, rarely if ever lost his temper despite all that has happened in his life, and remains a good friend of not only myself but many others on this site.
I speak, of course, of Arclight.

I was on my way to Tijuana, but apparently airlines don't take payment in the form of old electronics. I told 'm "There's trace amounts of gold in these things. Gold!", but no. :shifty:
Right, so that took a little pondering but the answer was rather obvious. I know of someone who's also active behind the scenes; for example, our merry little band used to gather on a TeamSpeak server hosted by him before I ended up doing so. For being a member contributing above and beyond, both center stage and behind the curtains, I pass this on to Jimbuna.
Enjoy it while it lasts. :O:

Itīs a great honor and i'm proud of it.
I just saw my emails today because I was in a 5 days trekking with my son Gabriel in high mountains. Just we two. A great trip for a father and son, it will be forever in our hearts.
As many of you, I open this site almost every day for so many years .... I donīt know exactly what took my attention so deeply for sub games ... but I like them so much. I remember the first time that I tried a mod for Sh3, 9 years ago. As brett said, the ingenuity because I didnīt knew that much about real WWII sub warfare at that time and because english isnīt my native language - itīs very difficult for me to say exactly what i want to say:D. Then comes my enthusiasm followed by the mod hardwork, sometimes really very, very hard. My children grew up listening about this game all these years.
I would also like to say thank you to Neal for this great website, this great forum, one of the best forums for hard gamers in the net. Is easy to see that isnīt easy to administrate a big forum like this one. So many pp, so many differences.
Thanks again guys (hats up)!:salute::salute::salute:!

I recall trying to learn how to create a better harbor for SH3, and then you did it so well and made it look easy. I was a bit embarrassed and glad I hadn't posted any of my "work" yet. You stand in the top rank of the modders here, but more importantly have always been reasonable, kind, and helpful.

hello to all subsimers,
i didn't knew (till today) the existance of this award and i am honored that Rubini choosed me as next holder.
i read about the meaning of this award at the OP from Neal and ,although its meaning is to be given to a member that was most 'active' at the ''current'' month,.....seems that this changed on the road and become something like ''i am giving it to the best member i think is''.
anyway, it is a honor for me to see that members from our community that i respect so much are having a so nice opinion for me too. Rubini is ,indead, one of the greatest guys i 'met' here(not only as a moder but as a person too) and that is exactly what makes this award worthy for me (and,i suppouse, for the next holders too).
thank you all guys for your kind words and stay tuned...i haven't release yet my BEST mods! :Kaleun_Salivating:

03-02-14, 08:04 PM
Hi Guys
Well I could crush a grape.
That came out of the blue.
I feel honoured and humbled to be given this honour which I did not know existed.
This means even more to me coming from the Boss.
It feels like a late birthday present as I was 68 on 20th Feb.
There are many unassuming Subsimmers out there that I refer to as our Subsim Family.
I particularly feel for the Newbies who come in to the game and struggle a bit.
My method is to try to give step by step advice so that they do not have to worry what to do they just need to follow my instructions.
I have made a few friends through PMs where we have helped each other out. I have a particular recipient in mind once I know how to nominate for the April award.
I think there might be a promotion coming also this month.
I am old school and do not believe in taking something for nothing. I think it is important to give something back.
It saddens me when I see Subsimmers who have been long time "shipmates" still on the bottom rung of the ladder.
I appreciate your thanks it really does means a lot to me coming from my peers.
Good luck and best wishes to you all Peter

Can i make ,if there is no problem, my suggestion for the next of THEBERBSTER ?
i would suggest the next of THEBERBSTER to be ....Karamazovnew ! this person is one that really has sense of what quality moding means. just look at his UI mod for sh4 and you will understand what i mean. i can also say that is not only one of the best moders i know but also a very great person that i 'met' here!
ps:if my suggestion is causing anomalies to the 'course' of the award ...just ignore my post

I have enjoyed my time with the Abraham Award.
I think any award means something special to the recipient.
While I had someone in mind that I was going to nominate for the April award, I do not think that Karamazovnew should be deprived because of a mistake.
If Makman94 believes that Karamazovnew is a worthy contender then that is good enough for me.
I would like to nominate Karamazovnew for the April prestigious Abraham Award
Congratulations Karamazovnew.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Hiya's,
I remember the news on Abraham
Was shocking then, and it's still shocking now
Life throws us all curve balls during our time on earth ..........
We as children were instilled with a sense of you're better off doing a good turn for someone rather than a bad turn, karma is the wording these days, though i bet my parents had never heard of the word lol
I'd rather try to help someone than not, that's my nature, i thank my parents for instilling this into all four of us from an early age ..........
Without further ado, i would like to nominate 7Infanterie19 for the Abraham Award
He is inquisitive and helpful, this goes well on this forum, and are just the attributes i would look for in passing on the award
Congratulations 7Infanterie19

Well, it's the first of the new month already, so it's time to pass on the reins of the Abraham Award.
It's too bad I don't follow a lot of the other forums, because I'm sure there are many there who deserve this too, but there were a couple of people who caught my eye this month in the forums I frequent.
Without further ado, I nominate Katze for the award this month, with honorable mention to Jester_UK, since it was between the two of them for me.
Katze jumps in to help people and lays out some straight up posts that get to the point (unlike me .. hehehe :haha:). He has helped me too, which I've appreciated.
