Is this a sound problem?
Any suggestion?

looks like a sound problem due to faulting module being Sound.act. You might be missing a sound file that is called for in \data\Sound\Sh.sdl. Do any of your mods overwrite the stock Sh.sdl?

You can run my JSGME mod validator to find out very easily :yep:

Thank you TDW.I didn't know that such a tool existed.Well i checked it and i found out that Sh.sdl is being overwriten by :
-Stormys DBSM SH5 v1.3 Basemod
-Stormys DBSM SH5 v1.3 HOTFIX 3
-FX_Update_0_0_21_ByTheDarkWraith
-OPEN HORIZONS II_full v2
-SH5Lifeboats_by_Rongel_TDW_stoianm_v2.11

Do you see anything that could be wrong here?

Hard to say. What I would do is use my SDL editor tool to see what is different between the Sh.sdl files of each mod. From that you'll be able to tell which sound files you are missing (if any). Could also be that a particular sound file is not correct (stereo instead of mono).

I would disable all the mods that change the Sh.sdl file and see if you still get the game to crash. You'll probably have to leave OHII installed but try it without.

I can't deactivate OHII because my savegame is played in that career.Strange thing is that since it's a sound problem then why does the game crash at certain date/hour?

Looks like there's some sound that is asking to be played at that specific time and the game can't find the sound file in \data\Sound or the sound file is corrupt or not the correct type. Could even be a problem in the Sh.sdl itself.

Here's my SDL editor if you want to look into it:

TDW i have added some radio mods, not through jgsme unfortunately. These are the only audio files i can imagine that are planned to be played at specific date/time.However i never use the radio in each time my game crashes. Is this irrelevant?:hmmm:

Volodya61,i have seen this a long time ago but i never understood what it was:oops:
Do i have to enable all possible sound mods like 'Harbour Addition Environment' for instance, for this to work correctly?

Yes, your problem resides either in a missing (or corrupted) radio event sound, or New UI's not finding one of the sounds triggered by incoming radio messages. :hmm2:

You can use Digital_Trucker's RadioStationManager (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=623020&postcount=1) to check if soemething is wrong with your radio mods. This tool was developped for SHIV, but it should work with SH5 as well

All the sound effects played by SH5 must be included in an index file, called sh.sdl. Mods adding new sounds are often not reciprocally compatible, because their respective indices don't include each other's sounds.

The mod by Volodya updates sh.sdl with all the new sounds added in game by various mods

Here's a thought. If he runs the SH Vallidator will that find his problem? I've done that after a crash and then retired running SH5 and it worked again.

SHDL Editor by TDW has a built in checker that will give you all the problems about your sh.sdl file and all the sounds files.

If it can help, i definitely solved my only random CTD when clicking select tube/opening tube by deleting DBSM mods.
Maybe it was conflicting with other mod, but that's the one i could play without, because no way to delete OHII or FX Uptade.

Well that's good news!I used this program extensively in Sh4 and i didn't know it was compatible with Sh5.I'm going to try this and Volodya61's mod and see if anything changes.

Try disabling all the mods containing sounds. On of the sounds they feature could be corrupted :hmm2:

Glad you managed to solve your problem, Wetton.

I have come to think again about it, and I think I know how your radio mods would have caused the game to ctd.
Unlike SHIII/IV, SH5 is a bit picky about audio file format to be used as radio broadcasts. Use anything but ogg or wav format, and soon on later you will run in troubles. Probably the radio mods you had placed in the radio folder featured at least some mp3 files. If you want to keep using them, you should convert the files in wrong format. :yep:
