keyboard mapping?

Hi

I would prefer to use the mouse as little as possible:

1) Is there any mods that enables turning the perioscope with the keyboard instead of the mouse?

2) Is it possible to map TheDarkWraith's NewUI teleporter to keys (I know it can be toggled with 't' - but what about the subcategories)?

Are you able to use the arrow keys for the periscope? I am asking because I found that the finding and editing the arrow keys specifically for the periscope to be a bit confusing for me. Were you able to do this? If so, it would make a great stand alone mod.

Hi all!

I may have found the solution to use the arrows with peri, obs, uzo and binocular.

FIRST: make a backup of the file Commands.cfg

the path: Silent Hunter 5\data\Cfg\Commands.cfg

then in the Commands.cfg (not the backup :03:) whit a notepad you must place the following commands or only change if the commands already exist with these:

I tried this change and it seems to work. You can make a small mod to activate this new file commands.cfg with JSGME.

I didn't try for the periscope Dogfish, but i'm quite sure it can do it :)
In my tests, i changed many keys assignations, and all worked well so far.
You can even delete all your SH5 keys, and start mapping from scratch if you want...
Jimimadrid made an awesome little tool there!

Easy to use:
- put the keymapper application in main root SH5 folder
- open/run it, and in file, open load from mykey (it will create the mykey mod in MODS folder)
- change whatever key using easy mod (look at the readme)
- close and activate the mykey mod last!

Sweet - just tried it, and periscope turned fine. heh - so did the Uboat too as arrow keys also still was mapped to the rudder. :)
It proves though, that periscope can be turned with keys, from here its just a matter of remapping.
