First many thanks to all MODDERS for all of those MODS out there. :yeah:
I just down downloaded TMO 2.5, easy AOB MOD with patches and RSRDC and want to properly install them. The MOD soup that I have been using with SH4 1.5 + UBM has worked quite well but now I'm ready for a good challenge.

I know that there could be some real conflicts in TMO with some of those mods. I'm not sure if TMO will work properly with the present install of SH4 since some of those files have been altered by the MODS I have been using. I have uninstalled all of the MODS using the jsgme tool.

My questions are:
1. Should I unistall SH4 completely in order to get a clean TMO install? Don't really want but will if I have to. I'm well into a career and don't want to start over.

2. Is TMO 2.5 an incremental or comprehensive patch (not sure). I have seen an earlier version such as 2.1 not sure if I need to find and install that one first?

3. I would like to use EASY AOB but not sure if its already incorporated into TMO 2.5 or not. I have seen some posts suggesting installing a couple of patches to get the gauges to work correctly.

4. what would be a good basic MOD soup to use? :hmmm:

5. Can anyone point me to a good tutorial for using EASY AOB and manipulating the TDC gauges.

Many thanks in advance for anyone's help

Best Regards to all :salute:

If TMO is working fine I see no need to reinstall it.

EZ AOB has two parts, one is a AOB to PK fix, the other is a Dial fix. Basically it lets you free spin these dials, instead of clicking to move them.

However, I would suggest using OTC mod instead. I just started a new patrol with it and love it. You would have to ask in that thread if you must start a new career, but I suspect yes.

Thanks for your reply. I have used OTC for my current installation and like it very much. :yeah: Now that I know that there is one for TMO 2.5 I will find and install it also. My main concern is getting a clean install for TMO 2.5 with all the good mods for it. With so many MODS out there it can be some what overwhelming trying to figure out what works with what without conflicts with my present installation.

I certainly wouldn't mind doing a clean SH4 install and installing TMO 2.5 so I can start a brand new career. A clean install will certainly eliminate any chances of conflicts. I'm just trying to figure out what the TMO 2.5 and MODS soup needs should look like.

For example:

TMO 2.5 with patches
RSRDC with patches
easy AOB with patches
OTC for TMO 2.5

I just don't know :06:

I'm just not sure which patches and in what order they should be installed.

Bottom line is I just want a nice clean realistic working SIM. I really enjoy playing the present version but want to try TMO 2.5 with those great MODS I have been reading about.

I'm fairly sure OTC overwrites EZ AOB or would suspect it does. I believe he made new dials, so I would check it or just leave EZ AOB out or install it first and see what files OTC overwrites. Here is the basic setup I use, but you have to decide what screen resolution you use and use the correct version of OTC.

1_TriggerMaru_Overhaul_2-5
RSRDC_TMO_V502
RSRDC_V5xx_Patch1
1.5_Optical Targeting Correction 031312 for RSRDCv502
1.5_OTC_Realistic Scopes for 4 to 3 RSRDCv502
1.5_OTC_Tokko's Revenge for RSRDCv502

If you want to start a new career, then it would be fine to install a clean copy of TMO, least it will insure you have a fresh start.

Course I use several more mods and a few of my own, just start slowly.
