Have sorted the previous problem out.

One question to anyone who could help.

Can I take a ships deck gun/turret and edit it to become an AA gun?
Looked in the dat and sim files and it looks plausible.
Any advice would be great

You mean like the 5" dual purpose mount the US has?

I'll have a look for it.
I'm going to try and achieve a phalanx/goalheeper effect for the gun so i'm guessing its a case of increasing muzzles in sim file to say 8 and lowering recoil time and distance.

There's an Arleigh Burke and Ticonderoga mod around here that has the CIWS on it. I'd download that and take a look at it.

Had a look at the Arleigh Burke. Very impressive. Phalanx looks the part too. All be it a little tame. I find the only way to make it sound and perform like it does in real life is to up the ammo size it fires.

Will it be a case of editing the UPC files and copying USSubParts phalanx dat,sim,cam files over to my sub to make this work?

Done the dat,sim,cam files and upc files but still no phalanx.

I've noticed in the Phalanx Dat file the linked 3d model "T01.dds, T02.dds".
I found the USA_Arleigh_Burke_T01 / USA_Arleigh_Burke_T02 files which are located in - Arleigh Burke-Data-submarine-Arleigh Burke.I've tried to copy them into my subs location along with the 3d file thats in there as well."Should I rename them to my subs name?"
Now i've exhausted my knowledge on this editing game
