Welcome.

For starters, please bear with me.
I searched a little on this forum, but either I'm blind, or just a poorly know English. :/\\!!

Seeking editor for files .dat.
But I mean the ENTIRE file distribution into prime factors, edit each component of that file and re-submit the whole "back together". I do not mean only the tga files (these files use DatTexExtract).

What program would be to the best and where can I get it?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Regards

Please, search the "S3D" editor. It has all the functions you need.

Thank you for the name of the program and an indication of the search.
Well ... it looks very profesional program. I wonder if I can handle it. :hmmm:

Well ... I must admit that after the first contact, the program overwhelmed me, even crushed. :timeout:
After some time, probably understand how it works.

That's another question I have:
is there any program a little less professional?

Let's say between DatTexExtractor and S3D?

Not that I know of.
If I can handle S3D editor, you can.

In that case ... this approach must I go.
I'll try again, then again ... and again ...

Thanks for the words of encouragement. :salute:

At first glance, it may look hard to use, but you can believe us, it's very simple and you will get used to it in no time. :arrgh!:

Just remember to first always make a backup of the file you are going to work on.:yep:

Now that a number of experts took the floor to ask for a thing I wrote in another thread.
Where do we bury to change the "silent running" with speed 1/3 to 2/3.
Already explain why.
I buried a little in speed (so that they fit me) and now 1/3 is very small (about 1 knot). I care about the fact that when the "silent running" turn on 2/3.

Wow!
I just noticed that I changed the avatar??? :o

No. It's hopeless. :/\\!!

I need the first hint, then the rest can understand.

I want to "pull" the one turm radar antenna and the "insert" it into my turm, without changing the rest of the settings.

What parts of the files opened by S3D responsible for the radar antenna? :wah:

The 'radars' are located in the sensors.dat file.
To have them on a Turm they are called from the basic.cfg file.

No, no. It's not that.

Mod for a new, properly functioning, radar antennas are spread out in several files: Animations, Cfg, Interior, Library, Objects and Submarine. I was in "Objects" is like: "turm7c_2_hd.dat". And in this file, when opened in S3D, is a whole list of weird "ingredients". I do not know who is responsible for rotating radar antenna. :hmmm:

And this is a problem ...
