View Full Version : Call me crazy, but: British Campaign?

Just thinking, perhaps it could be possible to have a British campaign? We could have some crazy story about some VII-A defecting or being captured so we can use it as the British! I've already come up with two objectives:

TOTAL GERMANY
Precious Tankers: Sink one German tanker heading out to refuel surface raiders. Do not sink any coming back in; these may be carrying POWs.

ARCTIC CONVOYS
Pride of the Kriegsmarine: Sink battleship Tirpitz. (This will be so difficult that it equals instant victory.)

So guys? What do you think? :)

The HMS Graph. U-570, Type VIIC, captured on Aug. 27th, 1941. Recristian the HMS Graph. Withdrawn from service in 1944 due to maintenance problems. So yes it can be done.

Untill our favourite issue 'sink the german vessel and get 110% CTD' is not solved the idea of the thread seems not to be attractive:03:

:hmmm: I have not had it CTD for sinking german ships. I was getting ready to reinstall the game so I went ahead and added a few mods and shot up the harbor at Keil. Everything that moved and even shot up the town. Went back, reloaded, did it some more. Nothing happened. Kept fiddiling and nothing happened. But after that reinstall it did something it never did before. Went to the PQ 17 mission to try out something, and as soon as I touch the throttle it crashes. So somewhere in the programming is a "Payback is a B*tch" node. But could it be that bottoming out your renown points causes it to crash? Just like removing a skipper in real life? :dead: But if you can't get it to work with a german sub, why not add a Chariot or a class X midget submarine? Or the one shot wonder, the Marder? Already have torpedoes in the game.

Well, I made a test mission, but SH5 only reads MISGE files, not MIS files. :nope:

They can if you apply the to the mission format.
Why did you not save them as misge:06:

I reckoned that the CTDs aren't caused by sinking Axis ships, just friendly ones. So I set the player side to Allies, transferred the VIIA CFG to the British/Submarine roster. It was only when I'd finished that I remembered that SH5 only reads MISGE files :/\\!!

Mediterranean campaign

Intercept Axis supply lines in Africa

But withouth 3D model of british submarines itīs more difficult.
