I did manage to get parts 1,2&3 of this Air Mod.
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=124027&highlight=%5BREL%5D+Airmod2+Russia

Some new aircraft here especially the Macchi 200 for the Mediterranean.

Some great work here

Any mission file for the Macchi 200?
It is my understanding it will not show up in game without one.

I might need to dust down my Mission Editor...

Wife's away this weekend so I should be able to do some scripting when I'm not committed to parenting duties.

Lindley,Wreford-Brown,You won't tell that to write in Air/EnglishNames.cfg for Airmod3 and as them to arrange in the folder Roster?

Hello Wreford-Brown,

Some great extra planes here in Air Mod 1,2&3 including the Italian G50 in Air mod 1.Great for Mediterranean Campaign.
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=115804

I think the Fiat BR.20 was also done by somebody but I can not find it now.I would really like to see the Cant Z506 and Heinkel He 115.
We need more seaplanes for the Mediterranean.

Thanks WB for all the hard work .

Unfortunately I can't get into Denis469's filefront page to look at this mod. Unless someone can point me to another place to download the planes, I can't script them :/\\!!

Maik's archive also seems to be down and I've tried Chrome, Firefox and IE - does anyone have any ideas?

WB, try Maik's archive with Firefox running in administrator mode

or

P.S.: did you publish the campaign files for the destroyers; they work well with my GWX installation

 I forgot about that one! I'll release your campaign files this evening then get to work on the aircraft.
Thanks for the Mediafire link - much appreciated.

OK, so this is the kind of scripting I hate - one that needs a load more work than just cranking up ME!

I've PM'd a few people to try and find the original authors of the planes and have deleted any models that already exist (e.g. Lancaster and Halifax) as well as those that are less relevant to SH3 (primarily Japanese aircraft). I've also reworked the Roster files (e.g. the de Havilland Dominie was used exclusively by the RAF, not the USAAF) and reworked the _en files in Air so the right text appear in the Museum. That narrows is down to seven planes I can script:
North American P-51D Mustang
Fiat G.50 Freccia
Macchi C.200 Saetta
Seversky P-35
Dornier Do 17
****e-Wulf Fw58 (I'm loving the way that subsim censors an aircraft manufacturer!)
de Havilland Dominie

Next step is to ensure they appear in the campaign with a test script (some aircraft models disappear, although I've never been able to work out why!) before I can research where they were based and start final scripting.

Modding is an addiction, and it looks like I'm back off the wagon! :yeah:

Great WB .
Looking forward to seeing the Italian planes in SH3.:Kaleun_Salivating:
Excellent the Regia Marina ship additions to the Mediterranean campaign.
Amazing the Cant Z506 and Heinkel He 115 have never been added
by one of the talented modders in the SH3 community.

VAA and Psy06 as far as I understand.
USSR Submarine mod from the sukhoi.ru forum if any of you recall those days.

So, it looks like the seven aircraft are working in-mission:

de Havilland Dominie:

Dornier Do17:

Fiat G.50 Freccia:

Foche-Wulf (sic) Fw58:

Macchi C.200 Saetta:

North American P-51D Mustang:

Seversky P-35:

I've tried to chase down the authors of these aircraft but have so far run into a blank. If anyone knows who might have created the aircraft, please let me know so I can ask permission to release some _SCR mods with the aircraft included in the mod. They were originally found by Denis_469 in 2007 on a Russian forum, so if anyone is on the Russian forums as well as subsim, can you please ask the question on my behalf.

In the meantime, I'll script the Macchi C.200 Saetta first as Lindley found the necrothread and resurrected it, therefore he's to thank for the sleep deprivation I'm about to impose on myself!

Does anyone have a preferences for the remainder (bearing in mind I'll be able to complete maybe one a week)? First come, first served - although given the pan-global nature of Onkel Neal's forum the question is almost time zone dependant.

Thanks,

WB
