Anyone know how to adjust the water clarity so that ships cannot be seen on the surface through the periscope. Thanks :up:

No idea, but check into Sobers Realistic Underwater FX or something like that. It makes the water so blurry you cant see anything. However this is no beuno if you like your external views because it makes them all jacked up.

Hi sidslotm,
there are two parameters called UnderwaterUpAlpha and UnderwaterDownAlpha which are affecting underwater transparency. Try playing with them. They are found in EnvColors_*.cfg files, Env folder.
Each file is relative to a specific climate zone and contains many entries of the above mentioned settings, one for each sun angle x 3 cloud coverage levels :03:

thanks fella's, I will have a look see. I got thinking early on this morning that disabling the periscope at say below 20 meters would achieve the same end if this is possible. I cannot see how a periscope could be raised at 100 meters depth anyway.
