Thank you.Not so good at getting those links to work.I had remembered reading somewhere a long time ago where they had used these engines as back-ups.Not bad for a seventy year old engine,is it?

Look at the size of the transmission wheel. i can imagine the huge power of this engine running inside a small pressure hull .:o

The doors and walls they had there were so thick, that the guy in the room next to the diesel couldn't hear a thing!

Which makes his report about hearing a gunshot on April 30th a bit suspicious. :hmmm:
