Aces

New Version 2:.

Note: Shift+F or Shift+D / Ctrl+F or Ctrl+D now raises/lowers the flag and puts/removes the crew on deck simultaneously. This seemed like the best compromise as I'm assuming that folks don't sail around on patrol with the crew on deck and/or flag flying.

Assuming that you have SuperTurms v6 and its pre-requisite mods such as Anvart's flags/pennant/df antenna and Flakmonkey's Interiors installed then the commands are as follows:

Shift+A/Ctrl+A = raises/lowers radio antenna
Shift+F or Shift+D/Ctrl+F or Ctrl+D) = crew on deck and flag.
Shift+H/Ctrl+H = open/close hatches
Shift+V/Ctrl+V = fits/removes DF antenna.
Shift+N/Ctrl+N = fits/removes the UZO (Type 7c1 only at present)
Shift+O/Ctrl+O = raises/lowers Obs. Periscope.

Files now inlcudes for the added torpedo in tubes.

Hi Folks,

As Promised.

It is not rocket science as the saying goes but it'll give you a few new things to try out over Christmas. I'll work on the new version more after Christmas:

Readme:

Aces Super Turms v7 Taster Readme.txt

Welcome,

This small beta update for my Super Turms v6 mod previews some new features to be released in Super Turms v7.

The mod should be installed AFTER Super Turms v6 and also includes two updated versions of optional add-on mods first released Super Turms v6.

Additions to Super Turms v6:

1. Most U-boat types (type II, type 7 nd Type 9) now have torpedos in the tubes which are visible when the outer tube doors are open as per the Ccom Mod.

2. Fixed crew on deck positioning problem with type 2 u-boats.

3. The type 7c u-boat has a removable UZO which can be mounted/un-mounted using the SHIFT+N/CTRL+N combination and I have updated the English, French and German commands.cfg files supplied with
Super Turms v6.

4. Added chalk board to type 9 control room interior.

Optional Mods (these mods should be installed AFTER Super Turms v6 and Aces Super Turms v7 Taster:

1. Updated version of my Aces' Repositioned 105 mm Gun on Types 9b and 9c plus New Type 9b Deck Railings mod with fixed missing topedo hatch and anchor as well as adding the torpedos in the tubes.

2. Updated version of my Aces' Super Turms v6 Damo's Type 7 Atmospheric Interior lighting add-on which now includes added chalk board in the type 7 control room interior, ressurrects my steaming cooking pot in the galley for use with the Ccom torpedo room mod and also fixes the camera out of sectors bug when using Super Turms with the Ccom torpedo room mod. Note: best used if you also use the Ccom Torpedo Room Mod.

---

Credits:

Many thanks to Testpilot for his kind permission to use his removable UZO code.

----

Kind regards and Happy Christmas and New Year

Cheers

DearAces: I leave my feeedback for the Christmas version:

- UZO working fine with MaGUI 3.4 WS. All commands OK.
- Cameras in interiors with CCom OK.
- Damoīs interior lights OK, but without charcoal. Smoke from the potatoes OK.:woot:
- No torpedoes in tubes in external camera, with "Q" (open selected tube pressed).

Only tested type VIIC with CCom interiors.

Also-and I donīt know if it is a problem with Flakmonkey interiors - the Obs scope in interior view (F2), donīt have animations (up-down). I never see this animation in any interior. Not a problem of your Taster mod, of course, but it is a nice eye candy stuff...for the next release, if it is possible.:03:

Best regardsand happy new Year.

Hi folks,

I've sorted out nearly everything but you arfe going to have to make a choice. In order to have the up/down UZO Testpilot used the same commands slot as previously used for the up/down periscope so. I can double up on the following

Flag (not really an option as you dont want to fit/remove the UZO and fly the flag at the same time)

RDF (not ideal but maybe an option)

Radio Antenna (not ideal but maybe an option)

Crew On Deck (not an option)

Open and Close Hatch (not an option)

Up down perisicope (not an option)

This is what I thought would be the problem when the idea was first suggested.

What I could do is "share" the crew on deck and the flag and then use the free command slot for the UZO.

Cheers

Aces,in this version of the Shift+D(F)/Ctrl+D(F) team are duplicated. The flag and crew on the deck are present at the same time. How to make either the flag or crew on the deck separately? To lift a flag the crew isn't present. To crew on the deck, and to lower a flag.

Sounds great, Aces!

Such mods give the Silent Hunter this special touch. All those details!

Will you make a turret variant without those MG-34s on both turrets sides, because I am not a big fan of it. But thats only my opinion.

Hi, I got it up and running, thanks to the 4GB-patch.

Everything works great, thanks for the great work to all!!!

Here is my list of questions:

1. Being able to raise flags independently from the crew on deck would be great.

2. The steam of the pot in the galley appears as symetric shapes (perhaps, a graphic card setting issue? I tried different settings but no change).

3. The spot were the deck gun used to be, looks like a black hole (I have Fubars VIIC 58 skin installed but checked again: When Super Turms is disabled, the black spot is gone).

4. The isolators/netswimmers are still the old stock style.

5. The helmets in the Turm are gone. Is that supposed to be that way?

6. I have no MG34 or anything else described in the readme on the bridge.

7. I can not fit/remove the UZO - crew says "Jawohl, Herr Kaleun!" but nothing happens (I have a VIIC/3 Turm installed).

8. I can not fit/remove the radio antenna - crew says "Jawohl, Herr Kaleun!" but nothing happens (I have a VIIC/3 Turm installed).

9. What exactly does the "Multimod compatability fix FM's Turm 7c2/4 Lightmaps add on" do / what are the differences?

10. The downloaded file comes in a .rar format. I extracted it using 7Zip. Could that be a problem?

Thanks!!!

Hmm what a strange comment..... From Super Doopah blah blah readme:

My thanks to all of the mod authors for their fantastic mods, encouragement and support.

Wreford-Brown for very kindly creating a special campaign file which vastly speeded up the testing of this mod.

I hope I haven't missed anyone out, if so, please forgive me.

Bright? Well not exactly as there is no news of how this mod is going, or if Aces is ok.

Theme? First thoughts, surely the theme is set by the thread title. If you're refering to the latset posts. Then I guess you could apply the thought, 'credit where credit is due' as the saying goes.

I hope that explains things a bit. On balance perhaps be a tad less heavy, before opening up on fellow modders.
