View Full Version : [Req]Medical Officer Mod
A thought came to me the last time I ran SH5. I couldn't get the Watch officer to get the lads to man the deckgun after being attack by a Brit escort on the surface and took some damage. Same for the Chief to order Silent Running. I found out they were injured, and that's the reason they cannot follow orders. This is mutiny! LOL But the real cause is that there is no Medical officer to treat injuries. There is one in SH3 but why isn't there one for SH5?
Can mod be made for a Medical office to join the crew? If there's is one, I've not seen him or seen any crew memeber that is one or has the capabilites to be one. We really do need a doctor on board our subs.
I'm surprised this hasn't come up before. If it has I appologise as I've not seen a post about it.

The sonar guy is the medic.
Not that I've seen with OHII. There's nothing to get him to treat the injured men.

No, but he has passive skills for the crew to recover faster.
or at least he should... :o
Like I said... none that I've seen. Last patrol neither the Chief or Watch officer were treated for about half of the patrol...15 days out of a total of 31 days for the patrol. Only upon the return to Lorient and starting a new patrol 14 days later were they healed. And this has happened on previous patrols too. Doesn't sound like there's any medical officer on board to me.

Darn inconsiderate of them to bleed while there's work to be done! :har:
We really do need a doctor on board our subs.Interesting you say that, 'cause in the actual conflict they curtailed assigning 'qualified doctors' due to the high mortality rate. Too valuable to lose and too badly needed elsewhere.
A medic yes, but a doctor no. :sunny:

A medic is fine by me. Ship one out asap, or have one standing by back at base when we return. :salute:

I was starting to wonder if that is the cause... :)
Good catch :yeah:
I did try it once before and didn't like the moral changes. I guess I'll stick with what I have..... the men will just have to bleed a bit until we get back to port.

I suspect they're tough enough, but you might want to pack a few band-aids just in case. But not the Hello-Kitty ones! :D
