Low FPS with Sobers Mega mod.

Hi there, I have installed these mods from Sobers mega mod thread and am getting low frame rates (between 19 and 28fps)

I have tried all the graphic settings ingame on the highest settings and all turned down as low as they can go.My results are the same fps what ever I change.I assume this must be one of the mods I installed causing the low frames?
Before this I was using a smaller hand picked mod list and the game looked very nice with good fps.

My system specs are:

Quad 8400 cpu @ 3.2 ghz
ATI 6950 2gb
8gb Ram
Asus P5K Mobo
I have also pledged a monthly subscription donation to thank you for your work with these mods.

I was hoping someone might be able to give me some advice on this.If I wanted to do a smaller mod list would I need to reinstall the game and start a fresh.

Could I just deactivate my current mods and start a new list with my current install but start a new career.

Are you using antilag mod?
Are you using TDW's .exe patch? (not much for graphics, but does help with rest of the bugs).
Lower down your graphics settings and see what happens.
There are cople of things you can do:
Disable "Windowed Mode" and disable "VSync".

And yes, you can just deactivate your currend mod list and go from there.

Are you using antilag mod?

With your system specs you really shouldn't have such low frame rates. I'd try the anti lag mod first, and if that doesn't do it, try disabling some of the more intensive mods one-at-a-time. Good luck! :sunny:

I think it was just me being stupid and yes it was whilst leaving Kiel Harbour.Once I had left the harbour into the open sea my frame rates were back to 60 fps.I did notice when I used the time acceleration from the harbour my fps was down to 1fps?

Tha frustrating thing for me though is that I disabled all the mega mod list and have used only 20 mods thinking i had a fps problem.I presume everyone has the low frame rate in kiel harbour then?

My only small issue now is a severe micro stuttering when in external views of the boat.Now I have started a new campaign am i able to change things about in the mod list or do you need to restart your career every time you tinker with it?

Am I able to activate the antilag mod in mid campaign.I also just realised the name of my thread is not very well thought out and im sorry Sober.If any one could change it please do as I did not mean for it to sound bad on Sobers excellent efforts.

there should not be any problem with installing antilag at any time of the game.

My understanding is that everyone will take a FPS hit due to the activity in any harbor.

I have been watching some of the tutorial videos about manual tdc.In this video:

at 3mins 20 he is identifying the ship with the help of his crew whilst looking through the scope.I do not have the small icons of my crew members at the bottom of the screen when looking through the scope.How would I go about adding this please?
