First I want to thank everyone in the community for all of their great mods and help posted in the forum. I'm been a member but haven't posted before now.
I'm a complete noob at Silent Hunter 4 and would like if someone could please point me in the right direction when it come to picking and installing mods.
With so many mods out there I find it overwhelming and hard to decide which mod/mods to install with out them conflicting each other. Can someone please point me as to which mods to pick in order to enhance the game? I have SH 4 Wolves of the Pacific with the U-boat add on (v1.5).
I'm most interested in:
1. Enhanced maps
2. Single player Mission or campaign Packs
3. Enhance instruments (gauges are small)
4. Enhanced navigational tools
5. realistic sea state
My goal is to get SH4 to be as great looking as some of the mods I have seen implemented.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I believe there are some, they're called (I think) TMO, RSDF and other ones with similar names.

i suggest to start with you use my GFO mod that fixes most of the bugs in the game but keeps it close to the stock game. after a few months when you get used to everything then you can start adding other mods to it to customise it to your liking and finally when you are ready for more of a challenge then try FOTRS, TMO, or RFB mods.
the RSRDC mod is for the stock game, GFO, TMO, or RFB mods only and it removes most of the ships from the game. you will no longer run into ships all the time but will have to go to the right areas during the right times of the year to find the shipping lanes to see traffic. it can be boring until you learn it but once you do its more realistic and historicly accurate.
FOTRS is a mod that you DONT use other mods with, its made as an "all-in-one" mod with its own campaign redesign so if you try to use other mods with it they will cause CTD issues.

Thanks guys for pointing in the right direction.
Webster, I will install GFO only and play the game for a while till I get used to the mechanics of the game. I just started playing last night. I must say this Sim is very addictive:up:.
Forgive me for asking but what does FOTRS acronym mean?
Webster, which GFO mod version should I download that fixes only the game and not any of the environments? If it does exist. Can I find GFO within Subsim's download area or where?
Again thanks to all for your help.

Webster,
Thanks, I downloaded Webster's GFO Patch for real Env #1. I'm assuming that I need to use JSGME to install this mod and the others I might use later on.
Is that the safest way?
