View Full Version : Cutting out messages
Once upon a time ,before my puter crashed,I had a mod that cut out all the annoying messages popping up and slowing me down to speed 1
To be honest, although they are interesting in their own way,I personally don,t want to know who has organised a beacon, sunk a merchant 1000 klms away or who has run out of fuel or torpedoes.
Can someone steer me back to the mod I had

This is probably the one. If not, I'm sure you'll like it, as it has only 75 messages for the entire war.

I have GWX and use this one made by Wreford Brown:

Yep,that looks familiar....tried it....but still got over 30 messages in 1 patrol......mostly about sinkings by other boats.
I wonder if I have to start a new career for it to take effect.
Have GWX,Commander and JSGME running.

Could be. It might also be that you have to remove the other one to make it go away.
I quite like the RLE Daily Double mod as it just gives me messages at two preset times of day and stops the game frequently sedning message and resorting to 1x.

Really got to recommend h.sie SH3 hardcode fix (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=174225) and Stiebler add-on (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=196674&highlight=stiebler+add+on). Not only are they must have mods, but they also allow you to set the messages such that they do not drop you to 1x time compression when receiving a message.
Highly recommended!
