View Full Version : Help - Bunker Graphics Corrupted with Either Real or Dynamic Enviroment Mods
I've looked through the threads for Real and Dynamic Mods, and several other threads as well, without seeing similar posts for help for this problem:
Stock SH5 runs normally, for the tutorial and for single missions. When I start a new campaign with MMM's Dynamic Environment (the standalone Part 1) enabled, or Real Environment Rev3, and nothing else enabled, the entire screen is corrupted. It's mostly white, usually with large horizontal lines of several words (enlarged from this forum, sometimes!). I can just make out the Bunker scene behind this overlay, and can move around but not so much as to be useful.
Without the mods, the Bunker is normal. And on patrol, with either mod enabled, the sea and sky are gorgeous.
Can anyone suggest how to fix this?
I've wondered whether I can begin a campaign without an environment mod, and once on patrol save and then enable the mod. But this sounds desperate and possibly leads to other problems?
My specs are below in signature. Thank you for any help on this!

The white screen means you have run out of memory:yep:
Do you have a 32bit os? If so - you can
Remove some men hungry mods
Use the 3gig switch patch or
Upgrade your system

Try to remove data/cfg/lights.cfg or try to enable Sober's Lights V5.. then see what happens..
Also.. you now use the latest video driver - 301.42.. try to use 295..
EDIT: remove from your MODs folder of course.. not from the game..
Try to remove as well the data/Textures folder. I will release a low definition patch with the next version of Dynamic Environment
Thanks so much for the quick replies! I will try the suggestions today, and thank you gap, I will watch for next release also.
Yes, XP 32bit. Have 4 gigs of RAM. I get the bunker semi-white out with no other mods enabled. I am surprised that this only happens in the bunker, with an environment mod enabled, but not at sea or just out of bunker, in port area.
I attempted the 3gig switch, but received this message at my command prompt: "bc edit is not recognized as an internal or external command..." I am the administrator for my computer, so not sure why this happens.
(Adding SH5 to ArmA 3 as reasons to switch to Win7 in 2013.)
Forgot to say that if you are using DynEnv you should also try to remove the data/Terrain folder :03:

I'm running XP and have the same card - GT430 and only 2 Gb RAM..
and everything fine with full DynEnv and full OHII and NewUIs..
Volodya, question: your success makes me think the corruption on this one screen might be a graphics card setting outside the game (or, I guess, inside game options settings). Can you describe the settings you are using? I use Nvidia Inspector, so can change a variety of the driver's parameters if it will help.
Well, enabling MMM Pt 1 (Dynamic Lights) followed by Sober's Lights did the trick. Thanks Volodya! I should go back and enable this in the correct order since I just wanted to see whether the Bunker screen cleared. Or could now start over with the full MMM and OHII as originally planned, although it was educational and fun to work up the test list below.

I'm using only game settings as Sober advised in his thread.. not card settings..

I faced this earlier.. the problem was with the lights.cfg from the SteelViking's Interior.. as I remember this mod used in MMM too..
Thanks volodya. That helps. I do think the settings for our card's drivers have an effect that can override - or not - in game settings, or activate graphics options that might clash with the sim. At least that is the case with several other sims, such as ArmA 2. However, since using Sober's lights after MMM Part 1 did work, that must be the cause. But Steel Viking's Interior is later in MMM, and not in Part 1!
Tried loading all of MMM's parts except the last - used the latest OHII - and the sim wouldn't load at all. Just CTD. So I will start experimenting. I tried loading standalone Dynamic Env at the end (with no MMM Pt 1) and Sober's after it. Loaded ok, but while looking at upgrades, CTD...
Next will be piece by piece, as is best.
