(REQ) .UPC file conversion to US side tutorial

I am trying to convert German torpedoes into the US campaign,
Can anyone help? Point me to a tutorial??

Are you running the U boat add on pack ? If so, then I think you can edit a playable units .sim file using S3D. Locate the wpn_torpedosubsys leaf, expand it, and then expand the tubes leaf in the main window there you should see a list of selectable torpedo types. If you have the U boat add on, you should be able to select one of the german fish.

If you are not running the U boat add on, I don't think it can be done ... the torpedo types appear to be hard coded. I did try creating new ones once but IIRC, the game crashes if you try to launch one.
