Why change that? It's prolly one of the few accurate items in the stock game.:D

in data/library/subparts(or us_subparts)/yourgun.sim
or
data/submarine/yoursubmarine/yoursubmarine.sim
method depends of modder style, not everyone make mods in same way :)
good luck! :salute:

thanks and the reason i mod it is when i am in a go shoot them mood and want as much ammo as possible. so it is an unrealistic half mil shell count on all round types. lets just face it it is FUN to shoot the deck gun at ships

i don't know, i think a single shell for deck gun have 10-15 kg, so 540 shells means almost 6 tones and occupies a lot of util volume, it's not unrealistic, but you're right, is fun to use cannon :)

just use my upgraded deck gun mod, it adds enough shells not to run out of ammo as you go around blowing the crap out of stuff and it increases reload and firing speeds for deck and AA guns, it also ups the deck guns shell hit power so it doesnt take 40 shells to sink a merchant ship (more like 20)

i tried to make sure its not a way overpowered mod so i tried to increase your firepower just enough so you are on equal footing to surface and fight your way to escape if needed. if theres only 1 or 2 DD nearby you can survive if you shoot fast and accurately.

if you dont like it then just open the files and see what i did so you can create your own version of it, after all, isnt it all about enjoying the game.
